Lovely hotel and great and friendly staff

Posted Oct 12, 2017 on Hotels
Lovely hotel and the staff were super friendly and helpful ...... couldn’t do enough for you. Location is superb and the area to relax around pool (and evening time area beside it) were fabulous. Easy to do an evening stroll to downtown Antibes (20min) if want to go a bit further than JLP (3min).

Exceptional

Posted Oct 1, 2017
Pros: the staff go out of their way to make this an exceptional holiday experience. Sitting in the breakfast area, under a canopy of quiet leafy calm
Cons: just a few more side plates available in the breakfast room, and milk jugs for tea. If that is all I have to say it shows how good they are
Location: If you travel by train go straight down from the station and avoid the streets immediately to either side as they are not the nicest. The rest is fine
This was truly fantastic. Whilst I speak a little French to show respect, the staff all speak exceptional English with Jennifer and one of the gentlemen receptionists in particular being practically bilingual. Being greeted with a welcome drink in such a calming atmosphere is great after a hectic journey. We were then shown to our room, to which our bags had already been taken. This level of service is seldom seen in less than the very best five star hotels these days. My initial reaction on seeing the cost of the breakfast was that it is expensive, but you have to appreciate it first to realise it is actually good value for money. Served until around 11 am with plenty of space and none of the typical buffet "rush", it can be as leisurely as you like. Quality tea and coffee and a wide range of foods reflect the standards they set throughout. Freshly squeezed orange juice is brought to your table in a carafe and was better than any I have ever bought. The sweet breads are freshly baked on site, and many are still warm when placed on the buffet table. One morning when a batch of croissants came out of the oven, Jennifer offered them to each table in turn. Superb. They will take your order for an omelette cooked to your liking, or you can have fried or scrambled eggs. Take an hour or longer over your breakfast if you like - it is a relaxing experience and they won't rush you. Special thanks to Cecile and Jennifer for a very calming few days.

Cher Monsieur, thank you so much for your kind and detailed review about you stay at Hotel Sainte Valerie. I was away for some days at this period but I'm sure Cécile and Jennifer, and all the team, took good care of you. I have been told about the milk jug and will take care of that when preparing the 2018 season (reopening next April 19). Winter is also an active time, and we take good notice of all the comments and requests for our works and preparations during the closure period. I hope I'll have the pleasure to welcome you too on your next stay in Juan les Pins, Very Best Regards,

Pros: Friendly, quiet.
Location: Beach, Juan les Pins, walk to Antibes
Pleasant short-stay in lovely hotel. The breakfast is a little pricey so we had breakfast in a nearby cafe. Staff very friendly.

Bonjour, thank you for choosing Hotel Sainte Valerie, and for your kind comment. Indeed the large buffet breakfast is 20€ per person and per day, but you can also serve a continental breakfast on request, do not hesitate to ask. We stay at your disposal, and send you our very best regards,

Breakfasts at Hotel Saint Valerie

Posted Sep 9, 2017
Pros: The gardens are lovely.
Cons: I would have preferred the cleaning staff to do their work after the guests had had breakfast. I didn't appreciate listening to hoovers over my coffee
Location: Reasonably close to the beach.
Whilst the breakfast itself is perfectly adequate, watch out because the Hotel assume you will have the full breakfast which obviously costs more. If you only want Continental breakfast, then tell them!

Bonjour, thank you for choosing Hotel Sainte Valérie, and for sharing your appreciation. We are very proud of our garden, where you enjoy the buffet breakfast at will in its dedicated area (20€). But of course you can order only coffee, viennoiserie or else, you just order it and we serve you in the garden, the veranda or in your room. We wish you a nice late summer time, and stay at your disposal, Best regards, M. Rigotti

Juan Les Pins boutique hotel

Posted Aug 24, 2017
Pros: Great location; fantastic pool and outside courtyard lounge area; complimentary water bottles; excellent breakfast dining; fantastic staff!
Location: Beaches are close, beautiful park a block away, restaurants and boulangeries nearby; plenty of shopping; easy to take city bus to old town Antibes
Truly outstanding experience! The owner greeted us along with her very well trained staff & offered us a welcome cocktail. The location is excellent and close to all the action but in a secluded and quiet area. Their staff are very warm and welcoming which is much appreciated. The entire ambience is fantastic. It is unusual to find a hotel that has really executed an outstanding guest experience in all facets of their operation. This hotel is a gem!! Bravo to the hotel owner who has figured it out on how to offer an outstanding service in exchange for a price that is on the high side but still affordable. Many hotels deliver far less for more cost.

Amazing staff and beautiful courtyard!

Posted Aug 24, 2017
We had an amazing stay at the hotel from start to finish! On check in, there was a mistake noted and we had accidentally booked two rooms instead of one - the hotel staff were very nice about this and cancelled the second room at no charge to us. In fact, we were upgraded to a beautiful and large suite. The courtyard is stunning with a beautiful pool and lots of outdoor seating - a complete oasis in the middle of bustling Juan-les-Pins! The location of the hotel is perfect - less than 5 minute walk to the beach and the popular areas to eat and have a drink at night. Despite this, it is still totally quiet within the hotel walls. The room was large with big beautiful windows and special mention to housekeeping - the rooms were exceptionally clean every day and the housekeeping staff were in and out early in the morning. The staff were all very lovely and pleasant and everyone spoke perfect English. On our last day the hotel owner came to our breakfast table to say hello and make sure we were happy with our stay. Needless to say, we were! Finally, the breakfast is beautiful - made to order omelettes, drip coffee (hard to find in France!) along with a Nespresso maker, fresh fruit, fresh baking, yogurt and granola, and a selection of meats and cheeses. 20 euro - pretty standard for the South of France. Altogether would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it. I thought the value was there especially for this area in the middle of August!

Bonjour, thank you for choosing Hotel Sainte Valerie, and for your very detailed and kind comment about your stay with us. Regarding the late cancellation, this is not usually possible, furthermore in very high season where we get to refuse some booking requests. Only this time we had a solution, and could satisfy you and another client too :-) We are glad that you appreciated your room and the garden, our "special" buffet breakfast, and our welcome. All the team joins me to say hello, and to wish you all the best for this summer end. Very best regards,
