Fantastic sports facilities - gym, tennis,swimming

Pros: Sports facilities. Great breakfast.
Cons: Cost. Concierge could be better informed and more helpful about things to do, restaurants to visit in town.
Location: Dubai itself wasn't great. Shopping/restaurants are much more expensive in Dubai than the UK. The aquarium was also very expensive.
Alcohol here and in Dubai very expensive. Hotel is expensive but good.

Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Location on beach, easy walk from pool area, Taxi's freely available to get to the Shopping Malls, worth seeing the fountains dancing to the music.
Everything about the holiday was perfect, staff can't do enough for you always have a greeting when they go about their work. Beach fantastic. Pool areas clean, Wild wadi an added bonus. We were there for the Halloween Beach Barbecue Party, absolutely brilliant, the work that goes into preparing everything is unbelievable, from table decorations, staff dressed up and even a buggy decorated for Halloween. What it must be like a Christmas, we'll have to go back and see. Our 6th visit, this time water is provided around the pool which is a bonus

The quality of this hotel degraded recently

Staff are not friendly at all and they don’t even care if you’re a longtime customer . Voice of a customer does not matter at this hotel they just don’t care. Poor breakfast quality, and be aware that there is construction going so no kids playground or pool.

We are currently undergoing a renovation of our Children's Club "Sinbad's" which we are very excited for as it will result in an enhanced experienced for all our little guests. Great Hotel with great location

Pros: Location.You can also use the other hotels owned by the Jumeirah group in the Madinat area.
Cons: The rooms are looking a bit tired and could with updating. I know that the hotel is in the process of refurbishing some of the rooms.
Location: Location is great,on the beach with access to the other hotels in the area that are owned by the Jumeirah group.
It was our first wedding anniversary whilst staying at the hotel. When we arrived the room had been decorated with balloons,banners,etc along with a bottle of Prosecco,chocolates & cake. The manager sent a personal note offering congratulations along with an invitation to a cocktail party.We couldn't fault any of the staff,nothing was too much trouble,from the cleaners to the manager of the hotel. We ate & drank a few times in the Dhow & Anchor where the manager Pappu continually looked after us. He arranged for our bill to be covered for the evening as it was the day of our anniversary. Every time we went in the Dhow Pappu went out of his way to ensure we were enjoying our evening,he is a credit to hotel.

The hotel is class as always great fun and amazing place to relax and enjoy the heat. Staff are 10/10 and rooms are very clean and well sized. This time was a bit of noise from maintainence going on around the hotel and that was annoying but wasn't too bad in the end. We had a great time and like always we will be stopping off on the way home from Europe again

Excellent hotel

Excellent hotel, plenty of places to eat, staff very helpful and friendly. Plenty of loungers around pool and on beach. Only problem was that room smelt damp, so we were moved to a better room.

Not what I expect from a certified 5star hotel

Having booked months in advance for our honeymoon we were really looking forward to our lavish stay at JBH. The hotel were informed well in advance it was our honeymoon and they had assured me they would do everything possible to make our stay extra special. Upon arriving at the hotel we were not greeted with very nice staff (not rude but just not what I expected). We asked for a cheeky upgrade to which we were told the hotel was full, we asked if there was anything else they could do for us as it was a very special occasion and told "No". Getting to the room it was on the first floor (room 141) (don't stay in this room if you want to sleep in). Firstly it's supposed to be an ocean view room and u get a tiny glimpse of the ocean through the half dead palm trees, then u get woken up every morning by the music from the restaurant directly below and the chatter of people eating outside. Overall the hotel is nice but I was very disappointed with the willingness of the staff to make us feel extra special whilst we stayed. Won't be going again. Could have got the same if not better service for less than half the price.

The hotel was absolutely fantastic and more than we expected when booking. This is the first time we have not left a hotel complex as it provided everything we desired from our holiday and the added bonus of using wild Wadi next door was brilliant.
