Nice hotel, cheap and comfortable

Nice hotel, cheap and pleasant. Not so close to city centre but walkable distance to the beach.

Nice stay at the Mercure Gold Dubai

Pros: Loved the location, staff is very helpful, breakfast onsite. Easy to move around from the hotel.
Cons: Room Cleanliness.
Location: Excellent location, Restaurants, close to public transport, Close to Old Dubai and main attractions are within minutes by taxi.
This was a good choice for accommodation in Dubai. If I visit Dubai again would stay there, recommend it!. Staff was very helpful and accommodating at all times,Check in was warm and welcoming, the lady at the Front Desk was very friendly and professional. The Restaurant Senses offers a buffet breakfast that is good for the price and staff members were kind and attentive All areas are clean and well maintained, but room cleanliness could be improved. The hotel sits in a great location, there are many services, restaurants, shops, public transport, taxi service is very easy to get.

Too much noise until 4am!!!

Staff friendly. Music playing very loudly all night Had to ask for hand towels five days in a row!!!

OK 3 star hotel.

Pros: Convenient form airport.
Cons: Modernise payment facilities, allow accorplus benefits, clean up damp and nesure smokers dont end up in non-smoking rooms.
Location: Location is not great for walking but for Dubai ok - 15 mins away by taxi to the burj khali and shopping complex.
We arrived late; our room had been cancelled so they tried to get us into a smokers room or a room with two single beds. We resisted and got upgraded to a non-smoking suite. It was fine but the floor we were on had been flooded in recent weeks and its clear the overwhelming damp can only be overcome by lifting the carpet and drying the place out for a few days. The credit card facilities were also antiquated with my work card not working on scan and check as it did elsewhere so ended up using a personal card generating a lot of work for me back home. The accorplus site also was disappointing - the hotel was far cheapre on expedia and out of spite we could not get the benefits of having an accorplus membership making me decide to abandon the program this year - it ha snot been worth it financially with better deals on expedie and other sites at accors own hotels.

No consideration for time arrival

Not withstanding hotel policy, there was a bit of understanding required by the hot3l. The plane landed in the very early gours of the morning of the wednesday. The hotel sqw fit to charge me f9r an extra days accoommodation, at a rate greater them the online booking rate. A very aggressive and filthy ap0roach,. That pricingopicy is for peop E who would purposefulpy ,maulate theor qrrival, give 5ue genuine traveler a chance

Staff here are Fantastic

Pros: The staff
Cons: Entertainment in the evening was ok for chilling and chatting with friends, but I travelled alone so not always suitable for solo business people
Location: plenty of restaurants within walking distance. not too many bars nearby though
The staff here was all fantastic, the room was large and clean, bars were vibrant., the pool was excellent too,

Renovations

Cons: Rooms and amenities need major refirbishment
Location: A bit out of the main city.
Unfortunately there during renovation work, of which I was not previously informed. No microwave in room. Mini bar prices for alchol were exceedingly expensive.
