"Didn't go as planned, but still a nice place"
We booked a King size oceanview room through expedia for this trip, when we arrived my husband and I were told we got 2 double beds because this hotel is also a timeshare and the shareholders get first pick and we get whats leftover for beds etc (not what we wanted to celebrate a special occasion). We also we told we got ocean view, we got to the room and it overlooked the grounds/parking garage entrance and the ocean was way off into the distance in between other hotels. You need to book "ocean side" to sit on the balcony and be at the ocean. So what we booked and what we got was very misleading, they did have a king bed open up mid week but we didn't want the hassle to pack up and move as we had busy days planned during our trip. Otherwise the facilities were nice, pool was good size and nice temp, ocean was lovely and there was even some snorkelling to do right in front of hotel. The kitchenette had enough supplies so after we grabbed groceries we ate breakfast and packed lunches to go. We never ate at the restaurant or pizza place but there was always a good size crowd there. Beach towels were supplied and free laundry facilities on each floor. We did go to Luau that this hotel hosted, only lasted an hour and rained the whole time, I would suggest the old lahaina luau for a good experience.
