"Great location!!"
This hotel is right on the Kaanapali beach with a long stretch of sandy beaches surrounded by other great resorts and restaurants. Black Rock beach is a 2 min walk away and an open Mall is right next to the hotel. Amazing views from our room! The moderate room rates allowed us to spend more time on activities and dinning.

"Awesome Hotel but BAD self-parking."
Overall, excellent stay! Highly recommend! The Hyatt has a beautiful garden layout, exotic tropical animals roaming within the gardens, nice clean rooms, large pool (opened 24 hrs.), a poolside restaurant and a nice white sand beach as your back yard. The pool has a keiki(kids) area & an adult pool with a grotto bar! So yeah! Fun for the entire family. And let me tell you... So cool having Maui's #1 Shave Ice vendor right on the resort between the pools & beach! Awesome touch! An what a treat having one of Maui's top rated Luau (Drums of the Pacific) on the premises! That's totally a BIG plus. You can feast & drink(open bar) all you want without having to worry about driving. This luau sure was worth the $. Three hours of entertainment & food located next to the beach- can't beat that! Only negative of this resort was parking! Gggrrr! Unless you're using valet (very expensive), you gotta park far & stalls are so compact(Double Gggrrrr!). Everyone double parks or squeezes in thight. I was forced to park valet my on my last night, I explained to the front desk I couldn't find parking. He made things better & charged me the self-park rate. That made things better. So, really only a minor negative in my book. So, If you stay The Hyatt you're guaranteed to leave happy. Mahalo Hyatt RegencyResort! :)

"Great condo rental experience"
When I got in, they must not have had availability for a studio suite, and so I was upgraded to a bigger room. This could have biased my positive experience since it naturally exceeded my expectations. To summarize, though, great place to relax. Close to the beach, a bigger plaza down the street for quick shopping, a smaller plaza right next door for quicker shopping. The suite was expensive, comfortable, well-lit and relaxing. Great balcony. Great wireless. Several pools nearby for a quick dip. What I really appreciated was the activity orientation on your first morning to let you know what there was to do and see, and they could book it all right there. It was interconnected to the Eldorado, which made customer service awesome, whether it was payment, rescheduling, confirming etc. etc. I didn't have time to research things before the trip, and that really helped.

"Aging, decent hotel on Kaanapali Beach"
The staff is probably the hotel's greatest asset. The pool is tiny. The infrastructure has passed its prime and definitely showing its age. The food is decent. Complimentary hotel activities such as lei making, ukulele lessons, etc. make for a nice addition and give the hotel a nice welcoming, Hawaiian touch. I particularly enjoyed the "Welcome Breakfast" where the staff introduced the hotel activities as well as gave first-timers an introduction to Hawaiian culture and the Aloha spirit. Again, the room felt old and in need of remodel. There were dead bugs by the bathroom floor on our 2nd day.

"Most of the comforts at home right at the beach"
Very nice relaxing hotel with beautiful views of the beach. Food and drinks were good but expensive. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful with their guidance and knowledge of surrounding areas. Other hotel guests were nice, friendly and respectful as well.
