"Quiet yet reasonable"
We stayed ten nights. Highlights were that the unit was clean, quiet, and the ocean view from the balcony was very good. We were very happy with how quiet the condo area was after 9 pm. The pool and grounds were satisfactory for the price. The fitness room was the only downside, small with outdated equipment. While we didn't go to Maui to workout indoors, a satisfactory exercise facility could have helped to better begin some mornings. I would have been better off doing push-ups in the living room. The staff was friendly and the room and view satisfactory. We felt this was a good option for a reasonable price (at least in Maui terms).

Pocket Guide: Maui Island Kaanapali Outrigger Hotels

Kaanapali is a prime vantage point for viewing humpback whales, which swim by December to May. The town’s whaling history is displayed at Whaler’s Village, a shopping complex and museum. Visitors also can experience the area’s farming past by riding the Sugar Cane Train, a restored steam locomotive. Snorkelers and divers can enjoy the coral reefs and fish that thrive in nearby Black Rock Beach.
