A mixed bag

I was in this area to attend a training session about 4 miles away and chose this facility for its relatively close location to the training facility, price and ease of access to I-94 . Very dated property conveniently located just off business I-94. Cordial front desk staff. Clean, functional elevator. Thick paint on room walls, ugly accent wall, cracked plaster on ceiling. Blackout curtains so stiff they couldn't be flexed to meet in the middle and thus did not block the light from the parking lot. What appeared to be new granite tops on all the hard horizontal surfaces. Very uncomfortable club chair in room. Plenty of hot water, but very poor lighting in the shower area. Very comfortable bed with lots of fluffy pillows. Good coffee in room. Water in the hot water carafe at the 24-hour coffee station in the lobby was cold. Scrambled eggs on the breakfast buffet tasted very bad, but there were pastries, bagels, waffles, apples, and cereal as alternatives. Room was quiet, but that may have been largely due to the lack of custom. Few dining options in the immediate area. Expected better for the price.
