Not the worst, but not to my standards

Pros: Price and proximity to downtown Kalamazoo is only about 15 minutes.
Cons: Front-desk service. Toiletries. Druggies(?)
Check-in was weird. First we arrived in town for a business conference and had to go directly to the conference. We were not able to check in right at the 3pm check-in time, and they DID call to confirm that we were still coming. BUT, when we arrived that night (close to midnight) there was nobody at the front desk. We had to call a number on a phone, which connected us with a service. We told them we needed to check in, and they apparently called the person who was working the desk. I believe the employees LIVE there, so after a certain time, they go to their "apartments" and go on with their lives until someone arrives and needs assistance. Okay, not such a big deal. BUT, it took FOREVER to complete our check-in. In all fairness, we did have 4 rooms. The room was what I would expect for college student living. Very basic. Not visibly unclean, but it smelled like someone had smoked in the room (it was a non-smoking room). Also, if you're used to traveling and expect toiletries such as shampoo/conditioner. Pack your own if you're staying here. They don't have any in the rooms. We were asked for a cigarette by the same woman about 3-4 times while waiting in the "lobby" for more of our group to arrive. She looked a little tweaked out. Drugs? NOT A GOOD HOTEL FOR KIDS!!

Never Staying Again

(2:00am) Currently, I can hear the television next door blasting and on the other side cabinets smashing against each other. Conversations are easily heard as the walls are thin. The bed is like concrete, sheets are stained and filthy, and the room is dusty. Also, the AC/Heating system is not operating correctly. Don’t get me wrong, the place “looks” great and the price is affordable, but not worth it.

It's just a room to stay in.

Be prepare to take everything you need or pay for it. Bedding, towels, pots and pans, dishes which are limited to what you get. They don't clean your room. Employees were not friendly. But, location was good.

We stayed for one night. Note that the room is rather bare as it does not even have a coffee maker or other amenities in the room. The room had a fridge and a TV -- the fridge was full sized and the compressor started about every 15 minutes which was an uninvited wake up call a couple of times throughout the night. Check in was a breeze and the stay was OK.

Nice Clean Hotel

Pros: The rooms have full refrigerators, a stove, and plenty of room.
Cons: It would be nice if they had some amenities.
Location: The location is very good, it's a nice neighborhood, just off the busy roads so quiet, but still close to everything.
This hotel is nice, clean, and has friendly, helpful staff. However there were few amenities. No pool in or out doors, no restraint or food service, no shuttle, etc. The hotel itself was comfortable and I would stay there again if I was there for business and didn't have time for leisure activities.

Clean, but that's all

Pros: cleanliness
Cons: More towels, lamp, anything to make it feel more like home
The grounds and room were clean. However, I thought there would be basic amenities such as a blow dryer and iron. Staff was not rude, but did not register high on the friendly factor. There were only 2 thin towels and quoted a price (I think of at least $25) for additional towels. There was no guide on the television so could not find programs. I just felt no desire to spend any time there at all. The bed was very uncomfortable and there was not even 1 bedside lamp.

I'm sorry you were unhappy with your stay with us. I'll be sure to pass along everything you mentioned. We do offer hair dryers and irons at the front desk if you'd like to borrow them and our linen service is about $10 a week. I hope you'll consider staying with us again.

convenient location

Cons: Update rooms, better front desk times, fix plumbing.
Room was so-so, bed comfy, toilet would not flush. On recommendation of front desk gentleman, we had to turn off, then turn on shut off valve on wall to fill the tank. No shampoo/conditioner. Not worth the money. Will not stay here again. Did not realize it was an extended stay hotel, should have read better before booking.
