"A lovely place to stay but issues for non smokers"
A lovely, central hotel with everything in town within easy walking distance or a tram ride (e,g the Museum for 1.25 TL). Easy to find and get to from Airport (600 bus from Airport to bus station (Otogar) for 4TL, then tramway to Istapasa (stop after Mustapasa) for 2 TL plus 3TL for charge card (like Oyster card) a total of about £3. Then a 10 minute walk (passed Hadrians Gate on Ataturk Cd look out for Starbucks on the right, look to left side of road, across narrow decorative water course, for Vodafone shop where turn left down narrow road add 50 yards to Hotel).
Hotel food was generally excellent (for me delicious). All meals outside by the pool. Get there early to smell the blossom and enjoy the fresh air. Later accept that someone at the next table, or tables, will smoke - often more than once.
My room was simple, comfortable, and immaculately cleaned each day, though on the ground floor, noisy with smokers sitting and chatting loudly outside until the early hours. With ear plugs and windows shut I could sleep - if I awoke after 2 a.m. I could open my windows.

On arrival at 11pm in the evening, and just wanting to go to bed after a long days traveling. We were left waiting at the reception for 50 minutes before being shown to our room, not what you would expect!! The waiting staff and cleaner were very polite and carried out their duties very well, especially the waiter called Abrieham, who was excellent.

Dedekonak is a quaint old turkish house in a quiet part of the old town. Our room was old fashioned but comfortable. Breakfast and the evening meals we had each night were excellent and the owner very friendly and helpful.

Well situated for wandering the old narrow streets, visiting the vast range of bars and all grades of restaurants, this hotel has been refurbished to a good standard. Rooms are small but adequately furnished with immaculate bedding. En suites with shower are newly fitted, but hot water is somewhat in short and irregular supply. Wifi on tap.The staff and owners are smiling and helpful with 24 hour reception desk ensuring a feeling of safety. There is a small, deep plunge pool and lemon trees for shade in the attractive suntrap courtyard. Breakfast consists of a mediteranean cheese, vegetables platter plus an egg or omelette with assorted breads, jams and coffee or tea. This is included in the modest room prices.

Also known as Old Antalya, the historic quarter of the sprawling modern metropolis retains its Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman influences. Architectural wonders abound, but Hadrian's Gate, the triumphal arch built to commemorate the Roman emperor's visit to this city, is the grandest of them all. Wander the maze-like streets to find a romantic restaurant in which to sample the finest local cuisine.
