Lake Victoria Serena Aug 2015Posted Aug 29, 2015
Pros: The staff, the spa, the golf course
Cons: The bar - the measures were on the small size and prices were high.
Location: The location is at the edge of Lake Victoria and Kampala is 20 minutes away. The golf course and marina are both situated together walking distance
This is a superb place to stay for a relaxing holiday. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant served good food and the overall standaqrd ws excellent. We'll be back one day.

Superb Home in AfricaPosted Jan 7, 2015 on Hotels
This hotel was absolutely brilliant. The location was easily accessible and had breath taking view of the lake especially in the mornings or at sun set. The staff was super friendly and forever helpful. This was definitely worth the money and more. Would go back anytime.

I very much enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Apart from a very tidious check out process, the stay was perfect.

business trip kapala / entebbePosted Nov 14, 2013
Cons: the access road is bad
The only downside is the 4 km dirt road to get there. OK if you are use to Africa but fresh from overseas it can be a little bit nerve racking

The most perfect hotelPosted Sep 18, 2013
Pros: On the net
Cons: Road to the hotel
Location: A perfect location facing lake Victoria
Our stay at this hotel was perfect, we had best views of lake Victoria, rooms were great, service was wonderful. The only criticism we had was the road to the hotel which we believe will get a resurface soon. If you want a relaxing perfect view stay then this hotel is for you!

Excellent Hotel / A Few QuibblesPosted Aug 13, 2013 on Hotels
Hotel is not really close to the airport or anything else. I had a very relaxing stay. Masseuse was very good -- but there needs to be better background music (not a clicking clock or polka) and fragrance. Easy to fix! Pool was fantastic.

Nice, but not organizedPosted Jul 14, 2013
Pros: Executive suite is amazing, pool is nice
Cons: Reception desk training.
Location: There is no signage, so when you turn off the Entebbe Road you are on your own to weave through 10 km of dirt roads thru shanties to find it.
My family had an interesting experience at the Lake Victoria Serena Resort. When we arrived, they claimed a mix up with our room and we waited in the lobby for 45 minutes while they found us a room. After getting into our room, unpacking, showering, a man walked in and said "what the hell are you people doing in my room?" Sure enough, the hotel staff put us in an occupied room. The front desk staff knew what happened before i even had a chance to explain, clearly they werent sure whether the room was occupied and figured they'd stick us in it anyway. The Duty Manager made good though and gave us an upgraded room and bottle of wine for the embarrassment of someone walking in on my wife changing. It is a nice facility. The staff was courteous, but at the end of the day... TIA.
