Entspannung pur

Posted Apr 27, 2015 on Hotels

The FH is not for the average tourist who wants to spend a typical loud/crazy evening in Thailand! It's more for the nature lover. The rooms shake a little every time a boat goes by!! But you'll get used to it. Surrounded by forest it's extremely humid and hot during the day. Always carry water on any excursions . All rooms are air conditioned and rather large. The staff is very kind but has difficulty understanding English. Food is about 3.5 out of five but freshly made. The resort offers a few adventure activities . Taking a dip in the river. Cycling. Kayaking. Visiting the lawa cave. Don't go in if you are claustrophobic, or afraid of bats!

Float house river Kwai experience

Posted Dec 2, 2014
Pros: The staff couldn't do enough for you. They managed out entire stay, incluing trips and made the experience one to remember.
Cons: The food. Restaurant staff were not efficient and menus had been translated into bad english which led to confusion. Menu was also to large.
Location: Location was stunning. We went to the Erawan falls, take your costume as you can swim here, Hellfire pass and the Death railway. All must do trips.
From the point at which we were delivered to their riverside quay, the experience was like nothing you will experience anywhere else. It had a surreal quality that left us grinning like 10 year olds.

Wonderful hotel, wonderful location

Posted Oct 28, 2014
Pros: The location, the beautiful villa on the water.
Cons: Don't charge extra for the longtailboat than the price stated on the pier. And always offer your customers the real price of transport.
Location: The Hellfire Pass museum is a must see. The Erawan waterfalls are touristisc, but a beautiful (and steep and often dangerous) climb.
-Beautiful hotel on the water. It's clean, looks like it is brandnew and the location is superb. -Good vegetarian options in food. Negative: -We were charged 100 baht more for the late longtailboat ride on arrival, than stated on the pier. -We were offered a taxi to the Erawan waterfalls and the Hellfire pass for twice the amount of money than the second offer after we said that was too expensive. So always ask for the cheaper transport. Otherwise you are paying a month's worth of income for a 1 hour drive. -The longtailboats are loud and pollutive, I would rather see sailboats in this beautiful scenery.

Kiehtovan erilainen hotelli "viidakon" keskellä

Posted Oct 19, 2014 on Hotels
Tänne tuleva matkailija arvostaa hotellia, joka on lähellä luontoa. Toisaalta ystävällisen henkilökunnan avulla esimerkiksi retket onnistuivat hyvin ja pitkähäntävenellä pääsi nopeasti laiturille, josta taas mukavasti autolla eteenpäin. Kaksi yötä on sopiva aika, ainakin jos säät suosivat, siinä ajassa ehtii näkemään mielenkiintoisimmat nähtävyydet. Varasimme hotellin puolihoidolla.
