A very lovely relaxing comfortable and clean hotelPosted Aug 8, 2017
Pros: We loved everything.
Location: We rented a scooter and rode up to Erawan Waterfalls one day and Hellfire Pass on another. Both took about 75 mins but well worth the effort.
From check in to check out, this hotel was fantastic. Room was as good as the online photos. Staff were excellent and the breakfast overlooking the river and bridge was amazing.

Beautiful river viewsPosted Jul 27, 2017
Tricky one to review; we absolutely loved the grounds and the setting. It was right on the bend of the Kwae and had views of the bridge one way, and limestone peaks and jungle the other. Lots of butterflies and lots of different types of birdsong all made for a very peaceful atmosphere. We stayed 4 nights in suite 112 which was lovely and clean, had a fabulously comfy bed, an amazing 'wet room' with a rain shower, two ( yes, 2) flat-screen TVs, but quite dark inside thanks to a big tree growing over it ( and which dropped fruit on our roof at times - we eventually had to request their ground staff give it a 'shake' as they were dropping during the night and waking us up) We also had trouble getting the air con to provide the ideal climate - it was either too warm or too cold, and the fan was very noisy even on lowest setting. We found the staff very pleasant, but some were inexperienced and spoke little English; we felt that a manager should have been around more often to supervise and direct them. For example at breakfast, the quality and choice available was excellent, and the location was idyllic, but we often found ourselves having to ask for things like pots of tea, milk, knives, and so on...the visible presence of a manager to ensure standards are met is the one thing that I think this place needs to make it truly special.

Fantastic hotel and 6 star staffPosted Jun 30, 2017
Pros: Location rooms were wonderful with comfy bed the food including breakfast and the staff care about you
Location: Near by is the famous river Kwai bridge the jeath musemn from Japanese prisoners off war also U.K. Commonwealth war graves. Good restaurants and shops
This hotel is a hidden gem, the location on the river just above river Kwai bridge is exceptional. The gardens are beautifully kept and the rooms have everything you need and are well maintained and spotlessly cleaned. The food at hotel restaurant is wonderful and breakfast buffet selection is top notch and changes daily Apart from all the above what makes this hotel special is that all the staff from manager to reception to gardeners and waiters they all care for their hotel and you feel cared for too This is by far the best hotel around in kanchanaburi and I cannot wait to return to this hidden oasis
Great stayPosted Jun 14, 2017 on Hotels
We stayed in the deluxe suite, and it was great. International breakfast was worth it. Location was great. They let you use bikes for free to tour the area. Staff is extremely friendly.
Beautiful KanchanaburiPosted Jun 14, 2017 on Hotels
Amazing location on the river, a few hundred metres froim the Bridge Kwai. Restaurant food was excellent and not pricey for a boutique resort. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Wifi was poor if you need it dont count on it, fitness centre equipment was 18th century. Overall a very pleasant stay in a lovley town.
Great place to stay at KanchanaburiPosted Jun 11, 2017 on Hotels
The place is very beautiful. However, it might be problematic when it rains because the grounds will flood thus making it difficult to walk around and some parts of the roof along the common corridors leak. The people there are very friendly and nice, they will greet us whenever we walk pass them. The spread at Breakfast was very good. They had quite a wide variety of food and the eggs prepared by the cook at the egg station (scrambled eggs, sunny side up and omelette) was better than most places. Enjoyed the breakfast alot - due to the delicious food and wonderful view.
Beautiful Restful OvernightPosted Jun 2, 2017 on Hotels
Great relaxing place to stay, extremely small rooms, but very nice. Restaurant overlooking River Kwai, peaceful, great food and service. Breakfast buffet was wonderful. Would definitely stay here again.
Great hotel, fantastic service, well located.Posted May 27, 2017 on Hotels
It's a great hotel, less than 5 minutes walk to the bridge over the river Kwai, plenty of local restaurants nearby, although we did eat in the hotel restaurant and the food was very good. Plenty of choice at breakfast from croissants and porridge to a full on Thai meal, service was first class,as was the coffee, room we had was spotless and well appointed with modern fixtures and fittings, bed was very comfortable and air conditioning was good. The only gripe I have is that the room we had was small, although well fitted out it did feel a bit cramped. There may be rooms that are bigger for more money, but to be honest I never looked. Cannot fault this hotel for location and the view when dining up the river Kwai, and being able to see the bridge, very relaxing, and yes, we will definatly be going back.

Beautifully located right on a bend of the river KPosted May 19, 2017
Pros: The grounds were spacious and well maintained. The lawns and pool overlooked the beautiful river Kwai and the restaurant served beautiful food.
Cons: What unfortunately lets this hotel down is the size and appointment of the rooms. They are too small and too cold. A screen door to the balcony would
Location: A fine location for us to get taxi to Hellfire Pass and Erawan falls
Stayed 2 nights whilst we explored Erawan Falls, Hellfire Pass and river Kwai bridge.
