Nice hotel with easy access from Interstate

Pros: Clean, pleasant surrounding.
Cons: Attention to placement of guests near convention center who are ot in room blocks for events there.
Stay was fine except: Room was close to convention center where there was a wedding reception. Band/DJ opened door to parking lot. Loud music sounded like drums were directly by ou window. Unable to get to sleep at 11 pm. Called front desk & was politely told it was a wedding & would be over by 12. I am always happy to see a wedding party, but hotel should not placeguests not in 'wedding block' close to the venue. She was polite but certainly not at all apologetic. I don't believe 11 pm is an unreasonable time to try to go to sleep. Was told door could not be closed because the room was too hot??? Other issue was that we were delayed on checkout by issue of door key not working & we could not get the remaining objects in our room. Staff apologetic but slow at fixing. We had a 10 hour drive & 45 minutes was a frustrating addition. Otherwise the Crowne Plaza was very nice.

Unfriendly experience at the front desk

Hotel facilities and cleanliness was good. I had a bad experience with Lee at the front desk. She was unfriendly and not helpful. She had no intentions to help make my stay accommodating. I also had a random person banging on my door for 10 minutes. I had to notify the front desk and they did quickly send someone up to take care of the situation.

Bathroom was small and it was hard to get to the hotel because of interstate construction but everything else was great

We did not care for the sleep number bed...not very comfortable. If we would stay there again I would ask for a regular bed. Overall visit was very nice and easy access despite construction.

They gave away my confirmed room

Our baseball team reserved a block of rooms two weeks prior and got a confirmation number. Being the last one on our team to check in I could not get a room. But others on our team had trouble checking in as well. Apparently they over booked the rooms for memorial weekend which left me stranded since all the hotels were booked In the area. After using my phone to try to find a room for a couple of hours, I gave up. My husband and children had to split up and sleep on the floor of other peoples rooms. If that wasn't bad enough crown plaza offered me nothing in return for this nightmare. Oddly enough I had talked to their front desk two or three different times the prior week to make sure I had double beds. My husband actually stayed the Friday night before in a king, but they said we needed to check out the following Saturday and check back in to get our double beds which they gave away

The Hotel was fine, but I booked through Hotel.com for a room with two queen beds, but when we arrived the hotel had only a king size. The personnel said that the hotel does not have queen size beds. The first night they sent up cot. Due to medical problems we needed two beds. The manager was very accommodating and changed to a room with two beds.
