Great Air Conditioning

Pros: The hotel air condition and the internet were excellent.
Cons: Housekeeping should make sure all the hotel property has been left in the room when each guest checks out.
My son was traveling from Colorado to Kentucky and planned to stop in Kansas City for the night. I made the reservation on Friday for him to star on Sunday night. As he checked in he left a wake-up call for the next morning. He called using his cell phone to let me know he had checked in. The next morning he let me know that approximately 30 minutes past time for his wake-up he had not received one. He started looking for the phone to complain and found there was not one in the room. He got ready for his shower and found there was no hot water to his shower. The management let him use another room where the water was lukewarm at best.

Pros: the price point
Cons: The mattress and the linen could go up a step.
Location: By the airport
the hotel room was outdated and not very cozy, but the price was right for laying your head down for a few hours waiting for a flight.

We chose it for an unplanned overnight stay due to a cancelled airline flight. It proved to be a mistaken choice. The good feature is the courteous driver of the airport shuttle.

Like being peed on

No shower head in the shower and the water took forever to heat up. Ever take a shower without a shower head? It's like being peed on. I mean probably. I've never actually been peed on. At least it's close to the airport. And it's cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for.

This place is just fine!

I needed an affordable bed and shower close to the airport with a shuttle. I got exactly that and was very satisfied. I expected a marginal place based on the significantly lower price than other area hotels. I couldn't believe a free shuttle. This is not a 5 star, classy place. But it is so functional that how can you criticize? The bed is really firm, but I slept just fine. I couldn't get the A/C on (it is early April) but I managed with the fan on the coolest setting. The shower head was funky but fine, and the water drained slowly in the tub. Clean, fresh towels and sheets. I did not do morning coffee But guests were in the (very small) lobby and seemed happy enough. I was picked up from MCI after midnight by Rajesh (probably wrong name) who had just come on duty. He was very polite, he checked me in and there was a hiccup with the first room. He was appropriately apologetic and gave me another room. Rajesh worked hard to accommodate me and was so courteous and helpful that I couldn't be irritated. He was still on duty in the morning and graciously took me to pick up my rental car. This is not a place for picky people. It is for people who appreciate a great value with reasonable expectations. I will go back in a heartbeat knowing that I will balance my expectations with my experience.
