Ok to average hotel

Posted Aug 13, 2015
Pros: The rooms are nice and spacious and mattress are soft....
Cons: The furniture! Old and out dated....please pull up the carpet; it holds odors.... Especially for a pet friendly hotel...
Location: Not a lot to do in the immediate area...
Staff was very nice, however the elevators stayed soaked...nice hotel for Family getaway however if your looking to relax with a little piece and quite....don't stay here....it's a family hotel ijs

This is an Embassy Suites hotel???

Posted Aug 11, 2015
Pros: The room was big.
Cons: Update rooms, train friendlier and more accomidating staff. Add ventilation in main area.
Location: There is nothing near by. Bad location for dinning.
We arrive early even though check in time was at 3pm and we were made to wait until 3pm. I found this odd especially in upscale hotels since most are happy to try and accomidate you. We had to wait in the lobby atrium area. The fountain is nice but it causes so much hiding that it is not at all comfortable to be in the main dinning/atrium area. Better ventilation or more humidifies may be helpful. When we finally were allowed to our room it was very outdated. The furniture was old and the sink stopper broke and it was filled with dirty water for our entire stay. Also the light in the bedroom area was burnt out, and that also stayed that way the entire time. I also found dried drops of blood on the pillow in the bedroom which was covered by a white pillow case, so it was easy to see through to the blood on the pillow. Breakfast was okay. There was a hot made-to-order station. The variety was decent. The drinks for orange juice and soda were always water down since they were left unrefilled. The sofa pillows were matted flat since they were old and staff was more annoyed than helpful. Also Internet is a separate charge of 4 dollars for 24 hrs of use and if you want real speed beyond slow texting you have to pay 12 dollars for 24 hrs of use. Local calls cost money so use your cellphone. Evening snacks were popcorn, trail mix, and vegetable with dip. Pretty disappointing, I've stayed at much better hotels and will not return to this one again.

Good location on way back from Royals Baseball gam

Posted Aug 11, 2015
Pros: Free Breakfast
Cons: Bed was not too Comfortable
Location: Nice shopping area just a mile south called Zona Rosa.
No issues with the Hotel. The breakfast was awesome. Pool was smaller but not bad. Not the nicest Embassy we have stayed in but it was still nicer than most hotels and was a good price on Expedia.

Nice hotel and staff but frutrating stay

Posted Aug 10, 2015
The hotel was nice and the employees were friendly however this was the most frustrating stay I have ever had. To start they only had 3 elevators and so being on the fifth floor you had to either wait 10-15 minutes for an elevator or take the stairs. My family and I decided that the stairs were the less frustrating option. Our first night we had to evacuate because of the fire alarm (much of the hotel evacuated but once downstairs realized that the main floor did not evacuate and no hotel EE's telling us it was safe to go back in), the second day the pool was closed for cleaning, and the entire time we could hear kids yelling and running throughout the hotel. Also if the hotel plans to book to capacity they need a bigger pool. The one day we were able to swim it was not enjoyable because there were so many children in such a very small pool.

Nice hotel in good area

Posted Jul 17, 2015
Pros: convenient to get to, managers happy hour, clean, like the floor plan of suites
Cons: Pool hours
Location: We went to Worlds of Fun and Royals game and very easy to get to and both within 25 minutes
The hotel is in good location and easy to get to. The rooms are nice and staff was friendly. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the hours listed for pool and hot tub are 6 AM to 10 PM and every day the they were closed for maintenance from 7 AM to 9:30 AM. This would be the time frame that my family would use them based off our daily schedules. It was a bit a of a deciding factor in why we stayed at this hotel. If they changed there pool hours to 10 AM to 10 PM I think it would be less deceiving and wouldn't cause frustrations in certain situations. Very nice hotel otherwise!!
