Cheap for a reasons

For what I paid, my expectations were justifiably average but I expect any chain hotel to at least achieve a service level of the chain, itself, and to honor what it advertises. I inquired repeatedly about my inability to access the hotel wifi and would finally learn that my wing gets a lot of complaints about not getting service. In 3 days there, I could only use the hotel's wifi in the lobby, in the hall by the elevator and amusingly, in the parking lot. Either deliver or don't advertise it! Worse, the plumbing in the toilet in my room ran (loudly) the entire 3 days. I opened the lid and quickly recognized it had been assembled faultily but wasn't going to fix it myself. I reported it at the desk and was asked how long I'd be staying (?) When I answered 3 days, I was told that wouldn't be long enough to "qualify" for housekeeping. Um, this wasn't a housekeeping request but basic maintenance. Finally on my last day, I entered the elevator to find two large (potentially slippery) puddles (spills, not rain). I mentioned to the front desk that someone could slip and she said unhesitatingly "I'll leave it for the next shift!" I don't recall ever staying anywhere that so consistently demonstrated a lack of concern for guests. I only give the hotel an "OK" rating because it was a relatively cheap room rate & I believe in realistic expectations. Knowing what I know now, I'd pay more to stay elsewhere.

Thank you for providing us with details about your stay. I am so disappointed that the WiFi didn't meet your needs and your maintenance concerns were not addressed. Please accept my apology. I am meeting with each team member to ensure that issues like these don't go unaddressed and this does not happen again in the future. I really appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We would love to have another chance to provide you with a better experience the next time you're in town.
