Great central hotel. Good Value!

We just stayed here from August 5-8. We went for the Blue Jays/Royals series. This was a central hotel without the high prices of some of the other hotels that I researched (and I researched them all!). Staff were very friendly, bed was super comfortable! Only issue we had was that our room was not cleaned during our stay?!? Not a huge concern for us and when we called for towels they came right away. The manager was fantastic about hearing our feedback after we got home! About 30 minutes from the airport and we used Uber to and from. We will definitely stay here again due to price and location! Hope this was helpful to anyone wanting to visit this area :)

It appears that there was a "do not disturb" sign on your door and that is why housekeeping did not service your room. We are sorry for any confusion about this. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else

Pros: It's on The Plaza.
Cons: Too many things to list. It's quite outdated, and frankly the décor is depressing. Mustard yellow is a common color scheme throughout, yuck.
Location: It's on The Plaza. Great shopping, eating, etc.
This hotel is over priced. For those of you who want to stay on The Plaza in Kansas City, do yourself a favor and spend the extra $50 and stay at a better hotel. This hotel is about 2 inches north of a Super 8 in décor, service, etc.

Front desk staff were inefficient. Booked 2 rooms and put us a opposite ends of the hotel front each other. No explanation. One room very putdarwd with broken furniture. The other room had ants in it. Rooms never cooled to the temperature on the thermostat.

Jules, You stayed with us over dates when the hotel was completely sold out. This means that it may not be possible to place guests in rooms close to each other. ok hotel stay

The room was nice yet expected there to be a charging starting for electronics. They did provide shuttle which was very convenient

Nice Value, very clean room

The room was very comfortable and the shower was awesome! Would have been at least a four star review had the room been furnished with a microwave and a refrigerator.

Close to Country Club Plaza

Fantastic desk staff, ok facilities

Desk staff so personable, engaging and willing to help. Outstanding dinner recommendation and a very nice shuttle service downtown. On the downside: pool area a reck, halfway carpets wet, computer area lights kept shutting off, and most disappointing..no breakfast included. It's free at a Holiday Inn Express, but not a regular Holiday Inn? Doesn't make sense.

Your question about breakfast is a common one. All Holiday Inn Hotels have a full-service restaurant operating in the hotel. This gives our guests many options for breakfast. Holiday Inn Express Hotels do not have a restaurant. For the convenience of their guests they offer a limited breakfast so that their guests at least have the option of eating at the hotel. I hope that this helps clarify the difference between the brands for your future stays. Best regards,
