Horrible!Posted Sep 21, 2015
The construction in the parking lot is awful. Not well lit at all and very dangerous. Daughter fell down because of rough surface and poor lighting. First room air conditioner broken. Moved to another room, no apology, no offer of any compensation at all. Second room, shower broken, ceiling above bathtub leaking. Gross but too tired to argue, too tired to move. Had booked two nights, decided to check out early. Desk clerk unapologetic about bad experience, refused to refund second night even though not staying. Advertised complimentary breakfast -- actually $9.99. DO NOT STAY HERE -- HORRIBLE.

The staff was very friendly and very knowledgable about the area. They seemed not only happy to help, but also eager to help. We were greeted by friendly staff every time we entered the hotel.

Nice Hotel at a great pricePosted Jun 17, 2015
Pros: Pretty much everything.
Cons: A free breakfast would be nice, but they offered a breakfast for $10 which isn't horrible.
Location: Overland Park Convention Center
The front desk staff was very nice as I arrived very late. The room was clean, nice, and quiet. The location was very convenient to the convention center.

Very friendly staffPosted Jun 14, 2015 on Hotels
Very friendly staff. Made me feel welcome. Reasonable price in the bar. Free shuttle bus to local Plaza. Call to be picked up. Room is big. Very big. Need is very comfy. Style looks a bit dated. Outside the hotel the is nothing. Rent a car or use the free shuttle bus.

overall great experience one little set backPosted Jun 4, 2015
Pros: next door to our conference.
overall the facilities were nice, comfy bed, good food. The only setback we had is most holiday inn express have a free continental breakfast, so if you are expecting that, this location does not participate in that. We arrived for breakfast at 10am not realizing the kitchen closed at 10, but they were very nice and we enjoyed a very great tasting breakfast with a very nice wait staff. I would stay at this location again.

Poor service!Posted Jun 2, 2015 on Hotels
Hotel was ok; however their breakfast bar was available for a fee. I noticed other people had a coupon for the meal. I went to front desk to obtain a coupon and I was told that my booking--Hotels.com--did not qualify for the coupon that I would have to pay for the meal. So $10.00 was paid for a poor quality breakfast bar. Eggs were scant and cold, biscuits cold, pancake, only one, was cold *& dried out.

NO free breakfastPosted May 14, 2015 on Hotels
NO free breakfast despite "promised" on hotels.com and on hotels.com receipt. Front desk agent acted like I was nuts. If that was what you want, don't book here.
