Great hotel close to a variety of activities!

Had a wonderful time in Kansas City visiting Legoland, the Zoo and Union Station just for starters. So many things to do in the area there's no chance of being bored. The Sheraton is a great, pet friendly hotel right in the middle of it all & wouldnt hesistate to stay there again!

Stayed there for my daughter's birthday and she was verry happy!! Everywhere we went was within walking distance and we had a great time!

Starving for a night

Pros: Thankfully it was close to Crown Center shops and restaurants.
Cons: No restaurants and poor service.
Location: Crown Center was great. Tons of food and shops things for kids to do.
I stayed at this hotel a lot before it was purchased by Sheraton and since then a lot has changed and not for the better. I arrived and asked about the rotating restaurant at the top and was told it was no longer a restaurant and didn't rotate but if I wanted to pay for the upgrade I could get access to the guest area on top for cocktails. Later that evening I wanted to dine at the hotel which originally had 3 restaurants. I found that the only place to get any food was the sports bar. This was at 8 pm on a Friday. My fiance and I sat at down and waited for 5 minutes for a waiter who gave us menus and left to get us water and didn't come back. We waited for 20 minutes and finally left the hotel to have dinner. For the price I wouldn't recommend a hotel.

Pros: Location
Cons: HVAC was minimal
HVAC was minimal, all else was great. Was just as I expected. Would stay there again.

View was nice and the location is great, however the room was disappointing. There was no fitted sheet on the bed only a flat sheet which barely covered the mattress and was not able to be tucked under the mattress. This proved problematic sleeping, because the sheet kept getting pulled up. The thermostat in the room initially didn't work. The On/Off toggle wouldn't turn the thermostat on. I call guest services to get a technician to come up. After 15 minutes, I noticed the thermostat had come on, so since no technician had come up, I cancelled the request with guest services. The second person I spoke to in guest services was "short" on the phone and not friendly, like the first person I spoke with. Then after 20 minutes after going to bed, security was knocking at my door. Apparently, the smoke detector was going off down stairs, but not in our room. There was no reason for the smoke alarm to go off...just another annoyance. All in all, not a bad hotel, but for the price, I expected a bit better of a room.

After paying $210 for the room, we had to pay $17 for parking and there was no free wifi...

We were there for a charity event. It was a brief stay, but we have no complaints. Great hotel!

Within walking distance of Union Station, also connected via skywalks. From Union Station, one can take the free streetcar to other parts of the city, such as power and light district, river market etc. Adjacent Crown Center for shoppers and kids. My second time there and would readily stay again.
