The hotel was nice and the staff was great, but overall the experience sucked because after 10 minutes of checking in, the front desk checked another couple into our room and they walked in while my wife was half naked. The front desk fixed the problem and Fredosa (sp?) very kindly offered us a voucher for free breakfast. That would have been fine if it were the only issue we encountered, but it wasn't.
We were in KC for a concert, and when we returned to the hotel after the show (around 12:30am), we walked into our room only to find that there was about 1.5 inches of standing water flooding our bathroom- a pipe behind the toilet was leaking. So we had to pack up all our stuff and schlep down to the front desk at 1am to be moved to a different room. I know these things happen and it's not the end of the world, but we were only there for 1 night and it's unfortunate that we encountered so many problems in such a short time.
I want to recognize the outstanding service provided by Fredosa and Leexi (sp?) at the front desk -- both were very professional and understanding and definitely very guest-focused, which is great. Honestly, I've stayed at many hotels that were a lot more expensive and the service wasn't nearly as good as this property. So I really do appreciate the efforts of the staff to make things right.
