Great Customer Service! Terrible hotel

Posted Sep 14, 2017
Pros: Customer Service, Area is quiet
First impression - Front desk staff gets 10/10 they were very accommodating and the room smelt lovely when I entered. Seems like nothing works... 1. I had no remote in my room so I picked up the phone to dial front desk and the phone had no dial tone. 2. Front desk did her best to find a remote that worked; the first one didn't so I had to go back for another. .I'm so happy that I have Xfinity TV2GO 3.I needed to use the stove. It did not work so I had to go to another room WHICH looked like it was under renovation... I was only here for 2 days BUT I must say again that all staff that I came in contact with was GREAT!

Nice hotel, needs maintenance, not so nice staff

Posted Sep 2, 2017
Pros: The decor looked like it had recently been updated
Cons: The friendliness of staff, Pay more attention to common areas that are lacking maintenance and cleanliness.
Location: Near KCMO airport. Zona Rosa is a nice shopping center nearby. Weston, MO is an adorable small town that is 20-25 min away.
The room we stayed in was clean and updated. The issue we had with this hotel was their maintenance of their building itself. We stayed for 3 nights and often used the side door closest to our room and parking. The entire time the door would get stuck between an open and lock position. You would get a green light that it was unlocked but it wouldn't open unless you used some strength. The last day during our check out my husband was taking our luggage to the car and once again had to force the door open. This time the door flew open and trapped his big toe between the door and the concrete sidewalk. My husband was in extreme pain and just barely made it back to the room. After he calmed down a min he went to the front desk to complain to them about the issue and to find ice. The lady at the front desk blew him off and checked the door with him. This time it didn't stick (my husband figures he may have pulled it hard enough to fix the issue) she dismissed it as a one time accident and took our info for their insurance to call us. My husbands toenail had to have a hole burned into it to release the pressure and it is now infected, plus we never received a call from their insurance, it has been over a week. We still had 5 more days of vacation in MO and this experience put a big damper on our hiking in Ha Ha Tonka Park. We would have at least liked to be treated like it wasn't our fault. The lady at the counter basically blamed my husband for forcing the door and impatience.

Outdated place to sleep

Posted Aug 22, 2017
Pros: Bed was comfortable. Room was fairly quiet. Setup was nice.
Cons: Needs major updating, and get rid of the musty smell. A continental breakfast would be nice.
Location: In a good location close to the airport. Off the main road a bit, but that provides for a more quiet area.
Dingy hotel with outdated kitchenette. No silverware, plates, pots pans or other cooking utensils anywhere. Everything needs an updating. Staff was nowhere around at check in. We had to call and call the front desk and nobody answered. Finally someone comes around the corner after several minutes.Guests in line behind me were frustrated. No hot breakfast; grab and go "snacks" only. Bed was comfortable and linens/towels looked clean, but that was about it. Entire hotel reeked of a musty smell.

Please be assured that our management is taking steps to ensure we are well poised to serve you better during your next stay. Please note, to ensure cleanliness of kitchenware and as per our brand standards, these items are available at the front desk rather than leaving them in the room. Not worth it

Posted Jul 18, 2017
Pros: The staff was friendly.
Cons: Come get the dirty towels and take the trash out for your guests!
Location: We went to worlds of fun and oceans of fun as well.
Upon arrival, we opened the windows and there was a cigarette butt waded up in a paper towel. No hot water in kitchen or bathroom sink, but they did come fix it. The front burner of the stove was broke. They did fix as well. Requested kitchen utensils and cookware, had to wash them before we could use them. There was mold under the sink in the kitchen. The toilet backed up and we had to get a plunger and plunge the toilet. We had to not only take our own trash to a room by the elevator, but we also had to take our dirty towels down and request clean ones. They placed us next to the door that leads down to the stairs and every time someone would go through the door it would slam shut and rattle the walls. Very noisy! Will not recommend and will not stay again.

Comfy

Posted Jul 17, 2017 on Hotels
For the amount I paid it was worth it. Comfortable bed, more amenities than I needed, clean bathroom, and quick service. Very quiet and not in a busy part of town. With the amount you save you can grab something quick to eat at their grab and go breakfast area and walk to the wafflehouse that is less than 1/10 or a mile away.
