Great place right next to the beach, they offered us a free upgrade to a villa which was amazing however the wifi in the room didn’t work, even when a technician came in he couldn’t get it working for the week long stay we were there. Everything else besides this was great, very clean and comfortable and free parking, very central location for kauai

Great hotel and good location. Hotel is nice and is very close to a kids beach. Free Mai Tai's every night! Great location for heading north or south for the day.

A beautiful location adjacent to an ocean park.

Posted Oct 4, 2017
Pros: The staff and the nice little lanai outside our room.
Cons: I suggest that the little transition ledge between the entryway and the carpet be changed.
Location: There is a very nice ocean park adjacent to the hotel.
The staff was wonderful! My wife got injured on a hike on the 2nd day of a four day reservation. The hotel very graciously let us leave early with no additional charges for the last two days. Just a word of caution: Room 1132 has a small ledge in the floor between the entryway and the main part of the room and a considerably larger ledge leading out to the lanai (patio). This was not connected in any way to my wife's injury. The lanai is a beautiful place to sit and watch the palm trees against the night sky.

Loved Lydgate Park and swimming early morning.

Posted Oct 3, 2017
Pros: Great location, casual, liked the open lobby and walking distance to the beach. Wonderful housekeeping staff, very friendly.
Cons: Parking was tight on weekends. Air-condition is very noisy. Hot Tub had a lot of chlorine, irritating nose and eyes. Door locks difficult.
We enjoyed our time at the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Not the best but pretty good.

Posted Oct 1, 2017
Pros: Location, bed, staff.
Cons: Breakfast, bugs.
Location: Beach, Kapa'a, Wailua river.
Pros: Great location, not right on the beach but close. We walked a little ways south and had a long stretch of perfect sandy beach all to ourselves. There is a man made swimming area at the beach that is nice, especially for kids, and a huge play structure at the park. We didn't have kids but kept thinking that this would be a great place if we did. The Wailua river is right next to the hotel. There are lots of restaurants and shops in the Kapa'a area as well. No problem finding good food with several restaurants within walking distance just across the bridge. And the Lihue airport is only 5 miles away. The room is comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. The restaurant has good food but is a little pricey. Cons: Bugs. We had a few cockroaches and ants in the bathroom. This part of Kauai is essentially a jungle, so this might be normal, or it could be that they just don't clean thoroughly. I say that because the cleaning staff consistently forgot something: cups, Kleenex, bag for the ice, coffee lids, always little things but always something we had to go ask for. The breakfast buffet is really expensive for basically what you'd get at most complimentary breakfast buffets. And the TV is kind of a pain: the guide is on channel 3-1 but you can't select anything from it. You have to wait for it to scroll around, the punch in the channel you want to watch. In our opinion the pros far outweigh the cons and we would recommend this hotel to friends.

Great staff, very accomodating. Nice location. Needs more lighting around pool area and could use a few more lounge chairs at the pool.

So beautiful and peaceful.

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Wasn't there long enough for an in depth critique, so nothing comes to mind!
Location: It was important to be close to the airport on this trip, which this was, without the noise. Close to restaurants and the beach.
This lovely place so typifies Kauai. It is relaxed, quiet and close to the beach. I wish we had more time to spend here, and will definitely make time on the next trip. Absolutely the most beautiful Hilton Garden Inn I have stayed in, and I have been in quite a few. Even the hallways were padded to insure quiet in the guest rooms. Did not hear a single sound of another guest while in my room. Staff were friendly and efficient.

A great place to stay.

Cons: The hotel could hand out better beach towels. The staff should check the sink in the bathroom more often (ours was slow draining)
was a nice experience. Was a nice walk to the beach. Centrally located and easy to get in on out of .

Awesome Location!

Posted Sep 21, 2017
Pros: Everything! Staff, Rooms, Food!
Cons: Nothing!
Location: Awesome middle location for the island, halfway between all the big attractions (Waimea Canyon, Hanalei Bay and Napali Coast).
We had a great stay here! We chose this location as it is right in the middle of everything we wanted to do. It is halfway to the North shore and halfway to Waimea Canyon which was perfect for us! Staff was so nice and the restaurant is fabulous! The 2 free Maitai's each day were a wonderful treat! We would definitely stay here again and recommend wholeheartedly! Beautiful view for the sunrise out by the pool, absolutely beautiful spot! They also provided beach mats and a nice small cooler for day use! Awesome workout room as well.

Perfect location and reasonable rates

Posted Sep 12, 2017
I stay here for 9 to 14 days a year. I always get my room request. No hidden fees. Being next to Lydgate park, the Wailia river is the best. Close to airport. Being midway on the island is so convenient.
