Good location and quite spacious

Posted Sep 4, 2017
Pros: Spacious, good location
Cons: Maybe soundproof windows, more comfortable mattress and pillows, housekeeping
Location: Sea House is nearby and has a great happy hour on the bay! Short drive from Napili Coffee Store (best lattes ever!) and not too far from Ka'anapali
This is a great location in West Maui and within walking distance to Napili Bay and my favorite happy hour at the Sea House. I thought the room was incredibly spacious and well-equipped with two bathrooms, a full kitchen with appliances and even a sofa bed in the living area. I would stay again but try to get a room away from the roosters, which is the only downside. I should also mention that it was a perfect place to stay with a baby because there was a ton of space. We rented a crib and slept in a separate room, so all of us slept well.

Great amenities and close to the beach

Posted Aug 23, 2017
This hotel was exactly what we needed! It had a full kitchen, stocked with appliance, dishes, and utensils. It even had a washer and dryer! It was spacious and comfortable and we'll gladly stay here again!

The gardens at west Maui

Posted Jul 25, 2017
The area is nice with a nice beach, I honestly chose it because it was the cheapest price I could get. There are very noisy chickens in the property, there is limited house keeping and I saw a young lady with her legs bitten by bed bugs. I don't even think the resort fee sould exist since all this uncomfortable situations happened.

Aloha, Sandra. Thank you for your visit and feedback. We are disappointed we did not make a more favorable impression. Please accept our sincere apology for any disturbance from our "fowl" neighbors. Unfortunately, Maui ordinances permit the birds, much to our chagrin. As a timeshare property, we do not follow the daily housekeeping tradition of most hotels. Instead, we offer a complimentary midweek cleaning to visitors staying a full seven days. We are always happy to replenish any items you may require, however, and daily cleaning is available for a fee. We take reports of bed bugs very seriously. In this case, since you cannot personally verify where she received them or even if they were the result of bed bugs, we cannot comment on your observation. We can tell you we have received no reports of bed bugs. Thank you once again for choosing The Gardens at West Maui.

Far from airport but close to other hotels in west

Posted Jul 16, 2017
Cozy hotel in west maui. It is more like time-sharing property than hotel but all the facilities of hotel. Walking distance to beach. 1 hr drive from airport. Must have a rental vehicle to go arround the places from this hotel. Room had bed folding to wall so can not add extra bed. I requested a twin bed to add in the room but they could not. Overall its fine place to have quite vacation.-------------------

Yes, a chicken ranch!

Posted May 24, 2017 on Hotels
The hotel is located right next door to a chicken ranch. Live Roosters crowing all night long. A terrible location for any hotel. We had to leave, the noise was just too much.

Thank you for your visit and feedback. We are disappointed we fell short of expectations. Please accept our sincere apology for the noise disturbance. Unfortunately, we can't pick our neighbors, and Maui ordinances permit the roosters. We are also sorry if our resort staff was anything less than completely cordial. Courteous customer service is our top priority, and we apologize if this was not your experience.
