This hotel does everything by pen and paper, so it is a little surprising that they are even on Hotels.com. We booked a quad room the night before checking in. When we arrived, they had no evidence of our reservation. We ending up having two rooms and being moved between separate rooms to meet their other reservation. They did only charge us for the one room. The desk hours vary, so there is no guarantee that some will be there to talk to. Everything about the hotel is old. The carpet and the fixtures are very dated. The rooms are clean, but in general the hotel just feels grimy and old. The wifi is very weak so don't bet on using it. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from a S-bahn station, and the S6 takes about 35 minutes to get into Frankfurt main. So the hotel is cheap, and if you don't mind it being a little run down, book early so they have enough time to process your reservation.

Conference visit to FrankfurtPosted Nov 27, 2013
Pros: The polite and helpful staff.
Cons: The lift is a bit cramped.
I had to travel out from central Frankfurt, which for someone not familiar with the area could have been challenging. However, a train service operates to Karten and then it was a 15 min walk to the hotel. The hotel staff were helpful and polite. The breakfast was fine. The overall stay was good. Travel to and from Frankfurt was easy by train. Alternatively you could take a taxi, but this would cost ten times the train fare!

Pros: That it was comfortable.
Cons: The cigarette smoke smell in the foyer and the lack of breakfast supplies.
The check in man was great. Breakfast staff were very average.

Pros: Short 5 to 8 minute walk to train station that goes every half hour to Frankfurt (itself a 30 minute journey).
Cons: Smoking in public areas near reception.
Good free wifi, modest but nice breakfast, basic but clean rooms.
