We had a good time staying 8 nights which is probably enough for a family of 4. The pools and beach are right in front of you and if you have rainy days there are options to keep kids busy. It's also good spot to be based and head off for adventures. What I liked best... It's quiet and just far enough away from all the shopping and tourist areas.

Stayed 5 nights with my fiance and we were looking for any excuse to stay longer. Such an amazing place with exceptional staff and postcard scenery.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, romantic getaway where you just get lost in the beauty of your surroundings!

Beach front and the best location of the 5 hotels we have stayed in Patong. Nice pool and when you get bored you can easily get to the beach for more fun in swimming. Big waves tho compared to the calm waves in Patong. Ideal with family to enjoy the location. Breakfast option is huge lots of variety and the best breakfast buffet we had in all of our stay.
No Wifi, old amenities that has a sad feel and Really quiet at night so we checked out early and spent our last night back in Patong.

This is a really nice laid back resort and the location is close to Kata Beach and a short tuktuk or taxi ride to Karon Beach. The pool is wonderful, although if travelling with younger children I would recommend a floatation vest or ring as the shallowest point is 1.3m and you get tied holding them the whole time. All the staff were very friendly and wonderful with our daughters (4 and 6). Things I would recommend to do is going to sabai corner restaurant for sunset (cost 400thb each way but worth it). Also highly recommend Red Chopsticks for lunch or dinner at Karon Beach ( 200thb each way in tuktuk). The food is amazing and the bathrooms are as good as any in a fine dining restaurant in Australia. The massage at the top the the driveway of the resort is good as is the laundry service at the top of the driveway (70thb per kg for wash and iron) great if you are travelling with messy kids! All in all a wonderful stay.

Great location only 5 mins walk to the beach
Free shuttle bus service
Great onsite massage therapist
Weak wifi kept cutting off and wouldn't work
Shower kept turning on and off while in use
BAD selection at breakfast, eggs were already cooked and left cold, items were not covered up so flies were all over them, and the vegetarian option was mixed with meat in the same container tray.
Don't order room service. Terrible food. Just 1 min walk from the hotel and it's cheaper and better!
Some Chinese guests came late in the afternoon and was banging the doors of the wardrobes etc all night until about 4 o'clock in the morning for two nights in a row.
ALSO THE 7 pools are not accessible to all rooms, there is only one communal pool !
Gym area is still under construction but it's a holiday so didn't really need to use it.

I checked into Sugar Marina Nautical with my teenage daughter, and very surprised to find such a unique hotel just in the beginning of uphill Kata Noi rd. Staff were very friendly and attentive. I like how the whole hotel is staying with the theme. Hotel room has a big balcony facing the sea. It was just a pleasant stay.

Known as a family-friendly area on Phuket Island, Kata is famous for its white sand beach, clear blue waters, and relaxing beach swimming. A coral reef extends from the beach to Crab Island, a popular destination for crab fishing. The north side of the bay offers snorkeling and diving locations.
