Historical Hotel

Posted Sep 27, 2017
Stayed for just one night, lovely old hotel in centre of town. Had a twin roon with shared facilities, ladies and gents bathrooms at end of corridor! No hardship, added to atmosphere!

Service was okay. the ,main issue was the lack of a bathroom in a hotel - sharing a bathroom is not a hotel experience! The rooms were dated, the remote was broken and the WIFI would not connect. Being that I only stayed for a night it was bearable - had it been longer I would have found another hotel.

Great stay

Great stay. Well recommended. We asked for an upgraded for a room with a bathroom and were granted for a small extra charge. It was like staying in a antique museum with modern amenities.

Beautiful location

Posted Jul 14, 2017 on Wotif
Whilst the ambience was lovely the bathrooms were very run down and freezing cold and this did sour the experience of staying at what is suppose to be a first class hotel.

Interesting hotel with friendly staff

Posted Jul 14, 2017 on Wotif
Pros: Interesting
Cons: A good through dusting and lick of paint would help
Location: Everything in Katoomba...it's all there
Really liked the Carrington. We stayed budget, so shared bathrooms were fine but in need of a renovation. A lovely old hotel which really needs a cash injection. However we forgave it those failings and enjoyed the historic experience. Hopeless romantics clearly!

You need to stay there if you go to Katoomba!

It was confortable and homy. This hotel has great old charm that adds to the Blue Mountains experience. Central, one-minute walk to the train station.
