Lovely, but.....

We had a lovely stay and the staff were very helpful. Would have liked to see more atmosphere around the pool area. Suggest some music, live or piped audio. We only saw one live performance around the pool in 6 days. Other resorts in this range also offer free Hula, ukulele and lei making classes, which were unfortunately missing here.

Regarding your comments about more atmosphere around the pool, we do have E Komo Mai reception on Tuesday evenings with hula and Hawaiian music and Mai Tai. In Shutters Bar and Lounge we have Hawaiian music every night from 7.00pm - 10.00pm, Naupaka Restaurant, has Hawaiian entertainers Sun - Thu from 6.00pm to 8.00pm. In regards to activities, we have leis making - twice a week - poolside, Hula lessons in Shutters Bar - twice a week, Pacific navigators information program (Tuesday) as well as Sunrise ceremony on Tuesday mornings. Twice a week we have yoga sessions and starting mid July, we will have a weekly water aerobics class (Thursday morning). In the coming months we will have ukulele lessons and other cultural activities being implemented, in addition to what we now have. we sincerely hope you will come and stay with us again to enjoy all the activities available to our guests. nice place to stay

Nice place to stay with good central island location. Nice fun pools and on beach front property. Beach is short in width to water and turns to rocky bottom not very far off shore.

Pictures were misleading...

The gym has limited rusted material, and there is only a very few buildings inclusive w the resort. The other half is designated to the villa. Convenient location w beach. No microwaves were in the bedroom which made our stay inconvenient.

Kessler ʻohana getaway

Pros: The location and cost were well worth it.
Cons: Is it necessary to charge hotel fee ($25.00 per day). It should just be added to the daily fee since it has to be paid.
Location: Stores (Walmart, Costco, etc) were conveniently close. We like being near everything.
We were very satisfied with the hotel and all its amenities. The location was ideal and the property was well-maintained. We will definitely stay here again.

Honey moon

Definitely not the honey moon hotel type but neither we were. The hotel has huge potential! Facilities are just what you need/expect. Cleanliness can be hugely improved, f&b outlets have potential but are not being looked after at the moment, lack of cleanliness and quality of food make from these outlets a one off, not keen on repeating but overall ok stay.

Great ocean access

The facilities are wonderful at this location and affordable. Very friendly staff always willing to help. The biggest negative to me was the food in the main restaurant. Breakfast was great but everything we had for dinner was very basic and underwhelming. The resort would do well to bring in a new chef or kitchen staff with more skill. Other than that - it was fantastic!!

Resort fee went up after booking.

We were not notified of the resort fee increase until check in. Too late to cancel or make other arrangements. Front desk staff was not friendly at any time during our stay

Nice resort near beach and airport

Recommend staying here before moving on to other parts of the island, or a nice place to end your trip. Great restaurant with local fare, but need to leave this resort to experience authentic Kauai.

It's a nice hotel for the money. It's not the best, but it's certainly not the worst. I'd stay there again.
