A quick rain, followed by a sunny evening (complete with rainbow). 👙✌
#treetrove Lovely sea turtles taking a sun bath on the beach Farm on the island of Kauai Set in the heart of sunny Poipu, this beautiful resort is a great choice when choosing to stay on the south side of the Garden Isle of Kauai. The rooms are nice, but what blew me away were the lush gardens, colorful flowers, foliage, and surrounding lagoons. There were so many unique small touches that made the simple act of walking around pleasurable. But make sure to rent a car, because whether you stay on the north, east, or south side, you'll want to explore every inch of this island.

#treetrove Great little beach and if you are lucky you might even catch a glimpse of this guy... The Hawaiian Monk Seal. What do Hawaiians do when the palm tree dies?! Sunset at cove along trail. About 10m from parking lot Horseback riding on a south side of Kauai island Poipu sunrise Nesting turtles are said to seen here more often than not at Poipu Beach. Nice area to view the sunset, too. Spouting Horn in Poipu Photographing sunsets. The camera is such an integral part of our travels. We take a lot of pictures with our phones and post those as we go. We edit the SLR pics when we get home and try to share the best of those. We really dig Trover and the online community it provides. Thanks Trover!
#GoldenHour This gorgeous Kauai beach, known as Keoneloa to the locals, is a favorite for skilled body surfers. Swimming can be dangerous due to the rough waves and funnel-like currents, however, visitors are usually satisfied with the scenery alone. Black lava rock line the white-sand shores to highlight the crystal blue waters. Most recognized for Makawehi Point that juts out into the ocean, creating a hot spot for those daring cliff jumpers, but this beach is also no stranger to the occasional sunbathing Monk Seal. They are protected though so keep your distance.#waterlust
#BeachBound Great beaches in the day, wonderful surf and usually sunny! The evenings are just as magical. Drone shot on the Makauwahi Cave Trail

Horseback riding on a south side of Kauai island Sunset from the Beach House restaurant in Poipu, Kauai Beautiful rainbow at Baby beach. Poipu Beach is located on the Southern end of the Island of Kauai. This beach is quintessential Kauai. It's also considered to be one of the safest beaches on the island. This is a great swim beach for families. It also has some rocky outcroppings rich with small fish. If you decide to wander out for a view be sure to wear something on your feet. Take it from me, the lava rocks are wicked sharp! This lesson was learned the hard way. #Beaches #Hawaii #Kauai #ocean #paradise
TIP: While there, be sure to make a stop in Poipu and eat at Puka Dog. It's a Hawaiian spin on hot dogs. Delicious beach food! The 4 major food groups: Bacon, Portuguese Sausage, Eggs, and Rice! Spouting Horn. A lava tube connecting the sea to an outlet. With each wave, you get a geyser. Great spot for boogie boarding, not crowded.
