Stunning views and secluded propertyPosted Nov 15, 2015
We loved our stay here because it was quiet (except for the roosters, which are everywhere on the island) and central to different tourist attractions on the island. The room we stayed in could have used some remodeling in the bathrooms (towel bars were clearly from the early nineties and falling apart), but everything else was updated. Most importantly, the kitchen was updated. The deck was huge and we had a fantastic uninterrupted view of the ocean. The pool is small, but adequate in size for the size of the complex. We were sometimes the only ones there. Parking is very easy.

Wonderful quite resort next to the ocean.Posted Nov 10, 2015
Pros: Quite location and beautiful view of ocean.
First trip to Hawaii for my wife and I. Kaha Lani was perfect. Quite, peaceful place next to the ocean. Easy drive to local stores and sights. Lydgate State Park is within walking distance.

Kaha.laniPosted Sep 22, 2015
Our second stay at Kaha Lani. Love the view. Like to stay in oceanfront unit. Air conditioning would have been nice as it was exceptionally hot the first few days. But also like to keep everything open to hear the ocean. We will definitely stay there again.

Not a full service resort but very nicePosted Sep 21, 2015
Pros: Quiet and everything worked well in the unit. Enjoyed the pool area and barbecues.
Cons: We like daily maid service and the resort only had this once during our 4 night 5 day stay.
Location: Sitting on the lanai, sitting around the pool and especially taking a beach chair to the ocean and watching we found very good.
Our unit had a recently renovated feel to it and everything from fans to lights to audio/visual to kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures all worked well. Resort is in a quiet location and the grounds, pool area and barbecues are all well maintained. There is easy access to a walking/wading beach that rarely has anyone on it - was very restful just sitting and watching the surf. One thing to be aware of as a couple of people advised us is the growing problem with vagrants and drugs - we personally never saw any issues but noticed while on a walk about a third of a mile south of the resort it appeared there was a group of tents and people camping in the woods near the beach - some of this looked a little sketchy.

Away from the crowdsPosted Aug 26, 2015
Pros: Love the quiet, seclusion, view (especially from third floor units), beach for walking, location perfect for strolls along a paved path to the neighbo
Cons: A tad slow on minor repair to units. This establishment has been in operation for some time thus drains can be fussy, garbage disposals maybe in need
Location: Close to grocery shopping, some restaurants, many fast fun food "huts", Kauai is not a huge island thus all rivers, canyons, various beaches within a
Castle Kaha Lani is rather secluded, off the highway, a park/golf course on one side, continuation of park on the other side with the ocean in front of the complex. Beach is safe for swimming/getting wet, very few people use it; some local trucks/cars drive along the southern part. This is not a noise problem in fact the wonderful sound of the surf more or less masks human activity. We walked the beach, enjoyed the pool, sat on the lanai enjoyed the warm breeze and the fantastic view. We did have a third floor unit, thus could see the sea!!! Travel to the ends of various roads is recommended, this is a beautiful island.

Great place to stay for families. We did not read the description carefully and failed to notice there is no AC, this was not unbearable but the summer heat made it uncomfortable at times. We enjoyed being right in Lydgate park and having the walking path available.

Tranquil , beautiful beachPosted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: Breathtaking views , Lydgate Beach
Location: Need to have car to drive to town , which is only 7 -10 mins away
I love everything about Kaha Lani resort. The staff in the reception area are very friendly , as well as the ground and housekeepers . The resort is beautiful ,and I can feel myself relaxing the first day we got there.Just remember to get groceries because it is not close to any store. However it is approx. 7 min. drive to town. The beach is breathtaking and for our Unit (#112) we can see and hear the ocean . We walked twice a day to Lydgate beach and my family enjoyed it so much . I chose this hotel because of Lydgate beach which is safer for the younger kids and if you are not a good swimmer (it has a protected lagoon) . There are many wonderful beaches in Kaui and this is one of the family friendly ones. You can do some snorkeling (beginner's) as well. I can't wait to return to Kaui and will book Kaha Lani resort again.
