great location, beautiful grounds

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: The grounds were beautiful and the staff was great. It has a relaxing vibe to it which was just what we were looking for.
Cons: The wi-fi internet service could be better and it would be great if at least some of the beach area could be cleared of stones.
Location: The location is near great beaches and is close to shopping. One of the near beaches has a great snorkeling area.
We had a room with a great view and was very comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen including cooking utensils as well as a washer and dryer in the unit. Nice bed and a large bathroom with a good shower and nice linens. Great sitting area and nice eating area in the kitchen. Great view of the pool and ocean and the grounds are immaculate and very nicely landscaped. The pool is not really for swimming but is great for cooling off and lounging. The beach is not a swimming beach but there is a nice one close by. There are 2 restaurants on site, one at the pool which serves drinks and sandwiches and a fine dining restaurant that is only open for dinner. The food at the pool is very good and the Hukilau which is the fine dining is fantastic. The resort is located next to a shopping center which is in the process of being renovated but has some nice shops and some good food venues. The shopping center hosts a farmer's market on Tuesdays and Thursdays and there is a lot of good fresh local produce for sale. The staff is very welcoming and very helpful. The property is a part of the Shell vacation Club and you will be "encouraged" to attend a sales presentation which we did. The presentation was not high pressure but was medium pressure and occupied about 2 hours of time. The only other negative was that the wi-fi service was spotty and kept going down and we had to reconnect, sometimes, multiple times during the day. Still, we think that this was the perfect vacation spot for us.

空港からのアクセスは良い。近くにロングスやフードランドなどあり。

Posted Jul 27, 2015

Posted Jul 6, 2015

Nice hotel with beautiful grounds

Posted Jul 3, 2015
Pros: Loved the grounds and setting. Location was excellent. Restaurant was excellent
Cons: Need ice machines. Not have to pay for housekeeping.
Location: Location was excellent. Near airport , two grocery stores, a couple of good excursions (Smith's luau and fern grato) and a great beach called Lygate.
Hotel setting was beautiful! After check in we had a problem with our room door lock. They immediately had maintenance come and fix it. (Don't know his name but he did a good job) We had a garden room view in which you can kind of see the ocean. Restaurant was excellent but would advise getting reservations. Location of this hotel was excellent. You had to pay an extra charge to have someone come every day to clean your room. If you opt out of this then your kinda of stuck with the same towels for your stay. I think as a courtesy they came and made our bed twice but that was all they did. They really try to get you to go to their time share presentation. We did, so they ended up giving us a discount on a luau and a snorkel cruise. Really not worth the discount if you ask me. I would difenitly come back to this resort!

Nice condo, close to the water, great restaurant.

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Close proximity to old Coco Palms resort. Right on water. Nightly events to attend. Great bar area. Near small shopping village. In room Washer&dryer.
Cons: Ads were not clear that this was a condo. I certainly didn't expect a sales pitch. I would recommend you warn folks about traffic issues.
Location: Great location on beach. Heavy traffic area which can delay site seeing. Lots of restaurants in area, some not too great i.e. Brick Oven Pizza.
We were able to check in a bit early in the day which was great. We were provided a handicap room which was okay. I didn't realize this was a condo and was surprised that I was approached by the concierge to attend a presentation. 3 days later I was contacted about the welcome package coupons. This was the last day before check out. Overall the facilities were beautiful, front desk staff were great, and the high end restaurant on the property was fantastic. We also enjoyed the bar by the pool (great bartenders, lunch sandwiches), and the pool itself.

Pleasant Surprise

Posted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: Staff was great! Rooms excellent
Cons: Concierge lady didn't seem local and was sour and unfriendly especially when she felt there was no vacation unit sale opportunity .
Thought it might be dated but the remodel is excellent. Staff is friendly and service oriented. Had a 2 bdrm ste and it was awesome. Expedia got us a great price for the unit. Shopping and convenience store a 2 min walk away. Close to both Kapaa and Lihue. Thanks Expedia !

Nice east coast hotel.

Posted Jun 20, 2015
We stayed here for my daughter's high school graduation trip. It was my second trip to Kauai and I stayed on the south shore the first time. I figured it would be good to stay in a central location so we wouldn't have to drive to far to anything. The front desk staff and the concierge were very helpful and not pushy at all. The hotel was nice with beautiful grounds. The pool was on the smaller side compared to big resorts but it was fine because it was never busy and we could always find a chair. The "hot" tub was definitely hot! It felt good to soak in it after a long day of adventures. We also loved the hammocks and relaxed in them every day. The only downside to our stay were the loud walkers staying above us. Overall we loved this place and would definitely go back!

nice hotel on the beach and close to Kapa'a

Posted Jun 8, 2015
This is a wonderful hotel. Plenty of room, ON the beach and close to the town of Kapa'a. There's sun and shade by the pool, and lots of hammocks to relax in. This hotel is close to everything you need. You can actually walk to a grocery store and several restaurants. Everything was relaxing and the staff was very friendly.
