Not a resort, but OK for short stay on budget.

We needed a reasonably priced overnight place and this did the job (though in Kauai, even "reasonably priced" places are too expensive). It's not on the beach and you have to drive through the shipping zone to get there, but once you're there the setting is nice--beautiful territorial view from our room and from the pool. The pool was too cold in February and there's no jacuzzi or poolside restroom. "Breakfast" is minimal (sliced fruit and toast or English muffins, beverages) and breakfast seating space is inadequate if the hotel is full. If you can't handle stairs, request a room on ground floor as there is no elevator. Microwave and fridge were pluses; good hot water and water pressure in tub/shower, pleasant-smelling soaps/shampoos, very old-school telephones in room, and they still use old-fashioned keys instead of key cards. Rooms were clean and reasonably tasteful. I'd stay there again for an overnighter or if I was planning to be "on the go" most of the time, but if you want a resort experience, this place isn't that. It's fine for what it is, though. Staff is friendly enough but if you get to the front desk when they're on the phone, they might ignore you for a while. Cancellation policy is a bit draconian. No on-site restaurant and you pretty much have to drive out for dinner.
