Poipu tripPosted Oct 8, 2015
Sheraton Poipu was a great place to stay. The beachfront/oceanfront location, facilities, cleanliness, helpful staff all tops. We had just one breakfast on property, after that we had meals elsewhere. Would return!

Only regret during an otherwise amazing vacationPosted Oct 5, 2015
We stopped here during our honeymoon based on a referral and could not have been more disappointed. Staff were incredibly rude from the get go...the front desk drilling us w questions about what other hotels we were staying in and the bell hops making sarcastic comments when we didn't leave our bags. Bugs all over the bathroom. Just not worth it with so many other beautiful options in the area.

Sheraton Lua dinnerPosted Oct 3, 2015
Pros: The concierge & front desk were helpful.
Cons: The lua.
Location: The location was very good & plenty of things to do, if you have a rent-a car. They do not have an airport shuttle, though its only +- 10 miles.
The Hawaiian lua is overrated. The food was mediocre & the site location, below one of the oceanfront buildings was sub-par. Additionally, at a cost of over $100 per person, it was unfortunate that they had an additional cost for "premium seating", where you received a cheap flower head lea, and sat in the same uncomfortable plastic seats.

Restaurant service was painfully slow. As a paying guest, I have never been ignored by so many restaurant and bar staff for so long! An hour's wait for a table in an empty restaurant; 10 minutes sitting at a bar waiting for one of the two bar employees to stop talking a ask what we would like to drink. The hotel was fine and the hotel staff excellent but the bar and restaurant staff add new meaning to the term island time.

Great hotelPosted Oct 2, 2015
Very clean hotel. The property was beautiful and the pool area on the beach was amazing! However, we really enjoyed the garden pool because there were far less people with no children. Private & quiet. There was construction near that pool during the week, but on the weekend it was perfect. The staff was SO friendly & accommodating. We did not have any meals at the resort because of the prices, but there are so many excellent restaurants nearby. The only negative comment we have is their parking situation. There was not enough parking for the guests at night, so we ended up parking in a dirt lot next to the resort with their employees. That was kind of a bummer.

Very nice hotel , close to the beachPosted Oct 1, 2015
Enjoyed every moment of our stay at this hotel! The beach is right as one would say in your backyard. The staff was excellent and very professional friendly as well. The onsite restaurants had amazing food and speedy service . I would recommend this hotel to anyone and also stay there again.

Over priced but fun locationPosted Sep 29, 2015
other than trying to suck you (monetarily) dry by charging you for every little thing, the resort was a fun place to stay. The location is great for traveling the island!

Amazing hotel and close to the beach for my dog.Posted Sep 29, 2015
Pros: They treated Kana like a superstar even though technically he was over their max limit. Our stay was amazing and the Sheraton will be our go to hotel
Cons: keep allowing those big dogs!
Location: Beach location and it was so easy to hang out with Kana by the beach. They even brought him out water when we made a to go order at the poolside bar.
Even though Kana was over the weight limit they allowed him to stay and treated him like a superstar. We were only supposed to stay one night but we were treated so well and everyone was so friendly we ended up staying four nights.

Perfect getaway spot!Posted Sep 28, 2015
Big crashing waves at the beach, perfect sunset spot and overall relaxing ambience. These are one of the few things I've experienced during my stay at this place. Will highly recommend this to couples or families that are looking for a getaway from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Like extra fees and walking blocks to park, this iPosted Sep 24, 2015
Pros: I liked that the cafe was open til 11pm. Beach towels to check out.
Cons: Better parking for patrons. Get rid of the resort fee, add it to the room cost so were not slammed with a higher bill when we check out.
Location: The location was really good. We love the south shore. Lots to do close by.
I will try to make this short. If you want to park close to the hotel, there is a extra fee for Valet. Otherwise your walking 2-3 city blocks for parking. Oh you want to use the beach side restaurant/ bar? Yeah, you better hope there is not a function going on cause you wont be able to use it. You HAVE to pay a "Resort Fee", you know what that gets you? Two bottles of water in your room every day. They offered classes as part of the fee, but do you really want to sit in the hotel while in paradise? I was not very satisfied when I received a bill for almost $300 for ONE breakfast and their "daily fee" when I checked out. The Luau was nice, but over priced and people who did not pay were welcome to watch from outside the ropes. The buffet/bar was not worth the almost one hundred dollars. We dont drink, so why should we pay for your drinks.. we could not opt out of the open bar. Frustrating.
