Fabulous pool, beautiful views

Posted Feb 12, 2017
Pros: The pool was incredible, felt so tropical, fun waterslides, great hot tubs with sandy bottoms, areas for kids, the grounds were beautifully maintained
Cons: Would have liked more paper products (paper towels, kleenex) provided
Location: Loved being right across the street from a grocery store. Many restaurants nearby in town as well. Easy walking distance.
The rooms were beautiful, comfortable layout, high quality appliances. Loved that fact that it had three bathrooms for two bedrooms. Six people comfortably shared this room without feeling they were too crowded. A lot of closet space too.

Timeshare with some hotel rooms

Posted Jan 28, 2017
Pros: It is on the ocean so you can sit on the beach and watch the waves. Because of the trade winds and currents it is not good for swimming or snorkeling
Cons: Disclose the cleaning arrangements better on the web.
Location: Great to be across the street from Safeway shopping center. Simple restaurants within walking distance. Wyland painted an ocean mural across the st.
It was a nice in between spot to stay between the No. Shore and Poipou Beach. Quiet and peaceful. Our room was a studio so there was a small refrigerator that took forever to make ice cubes and there is no ice machine in the complex because most of the rooms were one, two or three bedroom condos with full kitchens. We were only there for 5 days so no one came in to clean our room as was advertised on the web. You have to be there 7 days for cleaning service yet still have to pay $120 cleaning fee for when you leave and $20 per day for the use of the facilities. We did enjoy the jacuzzi a few nights after traveling around the island all day. The staff was very helpful when our coffee pot didn't work and brought us a wine opener, cooking spatula and tongs for the night we wanted to BBQ fish and veggies. Overall it was ok for the price.

Aloha, The staff and I are happy you enjoyed your stay with us. The location of the cleaning fee disclosure is configured according to the website you are on in this case Expedia. Because we are a vacation rental we do not offer daily maid service to any of our units and only and out clean. However, the studios can turn in their towels daily at the front desk in exchange for new ones. Our location is perfect to explore both ends of the Island quickly. I appreciate your kind comments about our staff the work hard host our guest and help make your stay a time to remember! Mahalo nui loa & Ahui hou!

Kauai 2017

Posted Jan 19, 2017
Pros: Beautiful, comfortable room. Roomy
The location on the coconut coast is ideal. You can get to the best parts of the island with relative ease from here instead of having to traverse the entire island. Nice restaurants and shops nearby too.

This is not a 4 star resort by any measure.

Posted Jan 19, 2017
The grounds are right off the street in the middle of town which is convenient, but that is where the perks end. The beach is unsuitable for any swimming or beach walking. There is no room service or maid service at all. You are required to walk to the front desk to get your towels, toilet paper, etc. There is no laundry facilities, there is no bottle openers, pens, or toilet goods of any kind. Once outside you need an 11 digit code to get in the pool. You also need to sign for pool towels and return them between certain hours. There is no pool food service or drink service. The property grounds are well maintained, but the feel of the place is very restricted and there are signs everywhere telling you to be quiet and don't do this and don't do that. The restaurant is quaint, but way to high end priced for the budget minded feel the hotel espouses. This place focuses on timeshare owners and not hotel guests. Very bland and overpriced for nothing special at all. Spend the few extra bucks and get 10X more at the Marriott Beach Club. This place is JV at best.

Aloha, Thank you for your time and review. The Waipouli Beach Resort is a Vacation Rental Resort and NOT Timeshare like the Marriott Beach Club. It is unfortunate that it sounds like your were not informed of the type of Resort you booked into. These are privately owned condos. Vacation Rental Resorts are not like hotels. We do not offer daily maid service as each condo is equipped with a washer and dryer and top of the line appliances. We supply all toiletries (except laundry soap) at the front desk after you have used up the ones supplied in the units. Bath Towels should be laundered in units. We do have a handful of studio suites that do not have full kitchens or washers or dryers but towels are exchanged at the front desk for these studios. Pool Towels are exchanged at the pool desk daily. It sounds like you booked into a studio. I hope this clears up some of your concerns. Mahalo nui loa

Aloha, Thank you for you time and review. We are a Vacation Rental Resort and not a Hotel our services are very limited. We cater to the independent traveler with deluxe condo accommodations with better rates, top of the line appliances, for preparing your meals for even more savings and including full size Whirlpool washer an dryer for your convenience. We have one restaurant on property however no room service and no daily maid service.

Great space for families

Posted Jan 5, 2017
Pros: Super friendly staff, location was perfect. Quiet, easy parking. Big, clean rooms with nice amenities.
Cons: Need to have a few more options in the restaurant for those with food allergies, or young children.
Location: Conveniently located in the middle of Kauai, so it's simple to go north or south.
The rooms were nicely furnished with higher end finishes like granite countertops and high end appliances in the kitchen. Property was clean and easily accessible. The front desk staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, warm and welcoming. It was nice to have two separate rooms for the adults and the kids, so each could have their personal space. Pool area was nice, although the water temperature was a bit on the cool side. Hot tubs were popular. If you didn't get a lounge chair fairly early in the morning, you were out of luck. Beach area was beautiful, although not recommended for swimming because of strong currents. It was clean and relaxing to take a walk. The restaurant had delicious food, although not many choices for young children. Wait staff seemed to be short on employees, they were running around like crazy, therefore took quite a while to attend to each patron. Location of the property was really convenient, as we like to explore all parts of the island. It seemed to be in the middle of most everything, so it was simple to go north one day, south the next. Grocery store was conveniently located right across the street for simple breakfasts and lunch/snacks. Many good restaurants in Kapaa nearby, so dinners out were always good. I reserved an ocean view room, which turned out to be overlooking the parking lot with a tiny view of the ocean in the distance from the master bedroom. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. I did get another option when requested.

We came for our honeymoon. It was nice to have a washer/dryer and basically all the amenities of home, but it's not as accommodating to restaurants. Where it is can get congested, especially during peak hours.

Well furnished ocean view, helpful staff, overall a very comfortable stay. Appreciated the free air mattress so our 3 teens didn't have to share a bed.

Can't wait to go back!!!!!!

Posted Dec 16, 2016
Pros: The hotel/ condo location is premium, right on the beach and across the street from a 24hr grocery store. The room was very clean, as were the dishes
Location: Located across the street from a 24hr grocery store, a UPS store and within a 20min stroll of MANY amazing restaurants
The hotel/ condo location is premium, right on the beach and across the street from a 24hr grocery store. The room was very clean, as were the dishes and all the appliances (kudos to the cleaning staff). It felt like a home away from home, you didn't have the neighbor noise with most hotels and street noise/ hall noise was almost nonexistent. The pools and slides were the star for my son, when we weren't in the ocean or touring the island we were in the pool or one of the 3 hot tubs. At night the fun, happy pool area turned into a magical grotto with lit torches surrounding the pool area. Most nights we had the pool all to ourselves and after a good long swim heading back to the condo we relaxed in the living room before crashing in the very comfy bed. The staff was so helpful and friendly with answers to all our questions. We can't wait to head back to Kauai and we plan on staying here!

Beautiful Resort

Posted Nov 14, 2016
Pros: Central location - near many shops and restaurants (within walking distance). Beautiful resort, and even though family friendly it is pretty quiet.
Cons: The traffic within Kapaa can be terrible making and this resort is located right where most of the traffice back up occurs.
Location: Close to several restaurants, grocery stores and some shopping all within walking distance (across the street)
This is a beautiful resort located centrally in Kapaa. The rooms are well appointed with high end applicances. The resort is quiet, well maintained and right on the beach. Great lazy river pool and three jacuzzis. We enjoyed our stay and will come back to this resort for future visits to Kauai.
