The hotel is ok. If you need something cheap and easy access from the highway it’s an ok option but the place you can tell was very cheaply remodeled and the finish work on a sub par. Also I was willing to pay the fee for ease of use but $40 cash to the “manager” for early check in was pretty sketchy. The breakfast was also just ok. The area was clean but only had the waffle machine working. No juice and the machine was “broken”.

It was clean and the staff was friendly, but I had to pay extra cash when arriving early. I was led to believe I could possibly end up registering late if I chose to wait for the assigned check-in time. I also, did not get any reciept for charges when I checked out.

The property was right off the highway and close to where my family is located. We had to pay an extra $120 for two nights because of our dogs, and we weren’t even in the room other than to sleep. The sofa was worn, the floors were cold. Some things i expect to have when we travel with our dogs, but to have to pay that much extra that was not reasonable. The bed was clean though, and comfortable. I think the owners were there when we checked in, their family was in the lobby the couple of times I walked through.

They initially gave us a key to an actively occupied room. The tub makes creaking noises while you shower. Holes in the wall have been repaired with spackle and no paint. Neither waffles nor juice was available for breakfast, so it was just yogurt, cereal, or toast. But it was clean. And the front desk staff was appropriately mortified at giving us an occupied room.

Worst hotel
Our room was filthy. It reeked like pee really bad. Then i went to the bathroom and it had someone past diarrhea in it plus a blade at the bottom of the bowl. Called the front desk. They were apologetic and brought the manager and the cleaning lady. I also pointed out the dirty fingerprints on the fridge door and the dirty freezer. (This was being in the room in less then 10 minutes). Cleaning person just acted surprised and keep saying i am the one who cleaned it and i do a good job. We had to leave to go to a race and didn't bring anything in yet. We figured we would give them a benefit of the doubt and let her finish cleaning the room. Came back, the toilet was cleaned, but the fingerprints on the fridge was still there. Did notice hand prints all over the headboard, the bottom of the shower had dirt and hair on it and old shampoo running down the shower. We went to the pool where they never turned the light on and almost slipped on the top step going into the pool. Next day went to the continental breakfast which was aweful. Coffee was watered down, no toast. Just a waffle maker, yougert, and some banana that were close to expiring, and juice and milk that was in a gallon jug from the gas station. I was charged about $200 a night and expected a decent room. We travel a lot and i would say this was the worst hotel i had ever stayed at. Camping in a tent would have been better. Now i can see why they were the only hotel that still had rooms that night.
