I know that Novotel is French Chain, and I enjoy my stay every time I book there. But this time I was shocked that this branch in Keyseri- Turkey, they didn't bother to open a buffet in the morning because of Ramadan!! They instead made us go to the hotel next door to have our breakfast... It's a shame how an international standards' hotel takes such religious measures in a so called secular country!!! Knowing that even under the islamic rules, the traveller has the right to stop fasting...
Anyway, it was a black point for Novotel and the management there, as it is a shameful discrimination for clients from other worldviews!!

The hotel is not far from the airport and has small but efficient rooms. The hotel staff is wonderful and extremely helpful. The front desk clerk helped me make a return reservation and also helped me drop off my rental car when the rental office was closed. She even arranged a taxi to the bus station and advised the driver to help me buy a bus ticket since I do not speak Turkish.

The hotel is situated near the town center where most of the attractions are within walking distance. The rooms are clean and provide the basic amenities. Do not expect the staff to speak English as this city is not a hot spot for tourists. However they do their best in answering requests.

Pros - Staff was perfect and was very helpful. Rooms were clean and modern, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a lot of variety. Spa was very nice and massage was good. Right next to a large modern mall and lots of restaurants in the local area.
Cons - Room thermostat was broke the first night and I didn't sleep well, the next morning I told them. Upon return they caught me coming in and said there was a problem with the system but they fixed it. I got to the room and turned it on again and the temperature went down, but then the system let it get warm again in the room, I called it in and then they said a person would come to fix it, 30 minutes later they called back asking the problem again. It was late and they didn't offer another room so I just dealt with it. So the two nights I stayed I didn't sleep well. Also, the hot tub was missing adjustment knobs and controls didn't work on a lot of it, plus it was not hot. Also, they advertise king size bed on Expedia, then at the hotel they say it is European king, which is like a double. I am an American, but live/work in Turkey and travel all over and if you post on Expedia say what it really is. I have even seen hotels say two singles pushed together, but it is honest. If it is European king then say that, because when I shop for a room for my wife and I, we look for a normal (American) for space/comfort. I normally don't pick hotels with smaller beds so this is deceiving.
