Lovely hotel in Jewish Quarter

Posted Sep 8, 2017
This hotel has a lovely ambience. It is clean and has comfortable big rooms. Staff were pleasant and helpful. It is close to many restaurants and only 11 minute walk to Wawel Castle. Would definately recommend and would return to this hotel.

Hotel Rubenstein

Posted Aug 19, 2017
Pros: The staff were very helpful, particularly the receptionist who booked a trip for us. Nice location and less busy than the old town.
Cons: Tea/cofeee in the room would be nice and the single beds could be just a little wider. Otherwise all good!
Location: Hotel is in the middle of the Jewish quarter with lots of good restaurants within walking distance and only 10-15 minutes walk into town centre.
Lovely hotel in a perfect location. Comfortable rooms with much needed air conditioning - it was very hot weather 30+. Bathroom was fab with low level, movement sensor lighting for nocturnal visits!

Beautiful hotel, great location

Posted May 17, 2017
Pros: High standards of cleanliness, decor.
Cons: Bar closed at 11.15pm could not get a night cap.
Location: Great location, lots of restaurants and bars nearby.
Situated in the Jewish area, great location. Very clean. Very good breakfast, lots of choices. Large bedroom with very comfortable beds. Staff could have been a little friendlier but they all did a good job. Would highly recommend.

Excellent location, shame about the staff

Very mixed feelings about this hotel which claims to be 4 star. It isn't. Good things include it's wonderful location in the centre of the Jewish Quarter, and some charm in the rooms. Our room was cleaned beautifully and we tipped accordingly. As a 4 star it is let down by, no explanation of hotel facilities (very few) and no offer of help with luggage on check in. No tea and coffee in the rooms. A lack of adequate quality toiletries (combined, shower gel/shampoo AND conditioner, just topped up daily ....really? Poor TV viewing (certainly for English speakers), and paltry breakfasts, which are the same each day. But the worst thing is the staff, unfriendly and in certain cases unhelpful. How people can knowingly put you in a room where the kitchen fans beneath sound like a Chinook in your room and you can hear he chef's conversation, is beyond me. However our second room on the 3rd floor was fine, but we only got allocated it, after getting difficult with reception. Very sad, this could be a wonderful boutique retreat, it has much going for it, but for the time being I would not return again to The Rubinstein.

The hotel is quaint, old fashion charm, with modern conveniences, great bathroom. Hotel staff was wonderful, Nicholas. Cristina, Jacob and in general they really make the stay a pleasure. Ready to give advice, he'll organizing tours. Close to many eateries and walking distance to many must see landmarks. The restaurant st the hotel was pretty good and breakfast very good ample variety, would definitely recommend the hotel.
