Pleasant Stay

Pros: Especially the staff. They were all friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Temperature control in some of the rooms. Could not figure out how the window and floor units interfaced.
Location: Everything (restaurants & shopping) are within walking.
This hotel is located right on Main Street in downtown Keene in a registered historical building. Staff was exceptional and room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was outstanding. Overall the stay could not have been better. Only negative is that a few of the rooms face on Main Street and the traffic in early evening and sometimes through the weekend nights can be distracting. But that's part of the charm of this hotel and it's location.

The hotel is old and had a bad smell throughout.

Pros: location
Cons: It is very old and needs to be updated and thoroughly cleaned.
Location: It was near the ice hockey rink where my granddaughter was playing
The minute we walked into the hotel, the smell was bad.

Location: right downtown, and close to everything including the Kenne diner !
Great hotel, wonderfully cleaned and appointed...close to town (ha, In town) just a treat !

Convenient location but disappointing

Pros: Location
We had a very long day of traveling and wanted to stay downtown after dropping or daughter off at Keene state for orientation. We wanted to stay "downtown". Our a/c unit was so loud that i could not fall asleep. When I got up to turn it off I stepped in a puddle of water that was leaking from the unit !! In the morning I opened the curtains to let the sun in and discovered our view was of the rooftop vents from the restaurant below. We have stayed in Keene 2 times before at much cheaper hotels and had no problems.

Nice downtown Main Street hotel.

While we asked for and received an early check in, and we appreciated that, we ended up with the room with the building HVAC systems directly outside the window. Loud notice all night.

Charming historic hotel

Pros: Location; comfortable bed; quaint; historic building
Cons: Air-conditioning and blinds on windows
Location: Close to restaurants, shops, Keene State University. Keene is a lovely town with plenty to see and do, and is very nice just to walk around.
The location of this hotel couldn't have been better, right in downtown Keene. The room was very nice, with an exposed brick wall and a very comfy bed and fluffy pillows. The bathroom was spacious and clean. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but I believe there was a full breakfast available. Unfortunately, the air-conditioning gave out during the night, but the situation was resolved to my satisfaction by management.
