Remoteness

Posted May 26, 2017
Pros: Cleanliness and a pub next door.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Birdwatchers and walkers would be in their element and close by to tourist stuff.
Last minute booking following work commitments, glad my wife booked this hotel. Very remote, excellent greeting and a pub next door serving great food. Will ne booking again with my wife that's for sure.

Great place to relax in the countryside.

Posted Apr 22, 2017
A small but friendly hotel with great facilities. Only had a 1 night stay but would definitely go back. TheDog & Gun was a great place to relax in the evening with friendly bar staff and a roaring fire and breakfast in the morning was great. Lovely pool and sauna with great views onto the moors.

An amazing location in Bronte countries

Posted Apr 19, 2017
Pros: The location and the room are both appealing
Location: As stated the lovely scenery where the hotel is situated and within easy reach to visit Harrogate and Castle Howard
The hotel is situated in an amazing Yorkshire location where the Brontes lived and within easy reach of the Haworth, and motoring distance to Harrogate. Also quite accessible to make a trip to visit Castle Howard in York.

Great Location

Posted Apr 7, 2017
This was a great find. The area is stunning with loads of great walks close by. Plenty of things to do in the area. The swimming pool was a great addition and even this has a fantastic view of the moors. The staff were friendly and helpful. Eating at the location is a little expensive but the quality of the food and portion size make up for it. You would be mad not to visit this place......

We keep coming back for a reason...

Posted Oct 6, 2016 on Hotels
The only thing that lets this place down, that nobody can do anything about, is the road noise (despite being a rural location) from about 6am. It's the 6th or 7th time we've stayed here and with good reason - great value for money, small-but-perfectly-formed pool and sauna; also right next door to the Dog & Gun which serves EXCELLENT food. (Their 'Lamb Henry' is a solid 10/10, and unlike a lot of places they know how to poach an egg the right way in the morning!).

Good hotel, attached to lovely pub

Posted Sep 20, 2016
Pros: The facilities and the condition of the room.
Cons: More information at reception
Ab very nice hotel, no actual receptionist, but good swimming pool, had to order breakfast before the next morning. Breakfast very good but times limited. The pub was excellent, lovely food and service.

OK but pricey for what offered

Posted Aug 27, 2016 on Hotels
Satisfactory stay. Nice room & OK breakfast. Some parts of room & bathroom a bit 'tired', useless shower over bath. Cleaning staff very helpful, other staff not as convivial. No WiFi, or Vodafone signal inside. Charged extra for the dog, but not good for dog walking and dog not allowed in the dog & gun pub. Convenient for visiting family in Leeming.
