This is your typical Alaskan hotel in a absolutely perfect setting. The hotel is right on the river and you can catch fish all day from the property. Very friendly atmosphere. Great bar overlooking the river. Its on the edge of town.
There are several wings. The old wing has one community bathroom and shower in the hallway shared by many rooms. At peak times like in the morning...just before dinner, etc. they are usually occupied and you can't get in to use them. NOT COOL!
We had booked a room through Expedia but there was a problem with it and the manager called us to try to find us another place to stay, but there was a cancellation so we were able to get a room with a king size bed with an "ocean" (really the Sound) view. Todd was extremely helpful and accommodating. ...
The hotel is clean and quiet. close to park and everything. Staffs are very nice and friendly.
Booked this "chalet" cottage to take a raft trip on the Kenai River. Small cottage, with queen bed bedroom (takes most of the room), loft with two twins and small living with couch. Also has kitchen. Very clean and everything worked. Beautiful location. Most folks in other units were there for fishing. ...

I was a woman traveling alone and spent four nights at Summit Lake Lodge in one of their lakeside cabins, which was like a luxury hotel room. I was very impressed with the Layout of the Property and How they took an old Homestead and turned it into such a Nice Place. Not too far to drive and easy access right off the Sterling Hiway across from the Bluffs. The cabin was very well kept and looked like all new carpet and it had recently been ...
The owners stayed up and drank at the bar with us and then made us amazing food! The rooms were just that, rooms. No internet and the tv had one channel. But if your out here you shouldnt be looking for that kind of stay. great hiking trails and the owners are 420 friendly outside of the rooms of ...
The good: You get the best view of Whittier town from the 14th floor. The bad: It is not a hotel per se but it is a commercialresident use. There are residents live in this army barrack. The ugly: There is no lobby for you to check in. You have to check in a bar/restaurant two blocks away from the ...
the staff was very accommodating when we arrived from Alaska rail road they had a shuttle to pick us us up. They held our bags after we checked out while we visited the Alaska Sea Life Center.
