a policy which greatly inconveniences guestsPosted Aug 10, 2015
Pros: Staff was friendly. Room was clean.
Cons: Inflexibility of the room rules caused a major inconvenience.
The facilities at this hotel are fine, except the rooms are VERY small. Staff was friendly. The problem was that I was booked for two nights, but because my booking was for two different room classes (which were all they had left) I had to check out at 11 a.m. the second day, wait till 4 p.m. and check in to a different room. I offered to stay in the cheaper room both nights to avoid having to check out and back in, which would allow another guest a free upgrade. But the staff was inflexible on this point. This was a major inconvenience.

Clean,friendlyPosted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: Breakfast selection
Location: Close to several restaurants, SeaLife Center across the street, and shopping one block over.
I had no problems with our stay. Staff friendly, room clean and comfortable, and breakfast with a good variety for the entire family. The cost of the room could have been cheaper but it is what it is.

Great location but sardine-like roomPosted Jul 18, 2015
I reserved a room for 4 (2 adults, 2 children [11,13]). There were two double beds (comfortable) but the room was so small we were literally crawling over each other. There is no way I should have had to pay $260/day for a cramped space like this. Very, very, very disappointing. I complained and was told if I had called beforehand that I could have requested a "larger" room (at least this is my interpretation of what I was told). So, beware.

Good option for SewardPosted Jul 18, 2015
Pros: Staff, location
Cons: Hotel isn't the most up-to-date with decor
Location: Alaska Sealife Center and a ton of restaurants and shops are very close by
We stayed here prior to a cruise. Checked the bags straight to the hotel from the Alaska RR, very convenient and easy. Love the proximity to the Sea Life Center, though you are far from the cruise pier and railroad (I mean, relatively speaking - maybe 2 miles?). Very friendly and warm staff - loved how we got to the pier and they checked in our bags for us - dropped us at one door and then took care of our bags separately. Laundry room is in the basement and it is really quite warm down there - and the dryers don't dry on one cycle. But I think that is common to every laundromat dryer!

Beautiful view!Posted Jul 10, 2015
Pros: The room was very comfortable and clean. Great view!
Location: Seward is an awesome place to visit. Fish, glaciers, wildlife, sea life and a beautiful drive from Anchorage.
To Seward fishing then spent the night July 3rd. Room was comfortable although a little pricey.

Good place when in SewardPosted Jul 9, 2015
The hotel was fine. Don't expect new, luxurious facilities in Seward. The location is quiet but close enough to restaurants and tourist facilities. The price is high but in line with the value for Alaska in the summer.

Rooms were very nice and had lots of space, but the walls were super thin!!! Noisy upstairs neighbors were awake half the night......bring ear plugs!

Seward HotelPosted Jul 6, 2015
Breakfast disgusting, eggs came out of a plastic bag, tasted like rubber and food presented on paper plates and paper cups. Nothing for gluten free as requested. At over 300USD per night, way over the top and would not return.
