very nice cabin. rented motor boat that broke down in middle of lake, owner offered no help in getting us back to shore. overall everything turned out ok but it could have been a very bad experience. had to row over a mile to get to broken down motor boat, then we had to fix it ourselves

Glad you liked our log cabin. Sorry you had a bad experience with our boat motor.
The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Beautiful property on the lake. Moose drinking water and Loon’s swimming by the dock. Great getaway!

We are guessing this great compliment is from our two nice lady visitors. We hear that now you love to go out on an ATV. We hope you get to come back and bring your families.
Loved everything about this BnB! The owner and husband were so friendly & kind. Now I want to start a BnB! Placr is very warm & inviting. thank you so much for having us!
This place is amazing! The owners bent over backwards to make our stay very enjoyable. Paddle boat, fishing boat, canoe, fishing rods, hot tub, comfortable beds, good breakfast, beautiful lake, and lots of peace and quiet. Wonderful!!

Thank you so very much. We are glad you had a good visit!
Just an amazingly relaxing environment and atmosphere. Close to interesting things to see and do, but remote enough to be just what we needed. We saw a pair of loons with a juvenile at a distance of less than 50 feet!
Very nice facilities in a quiet picturesque location

Disappointing
Was very disappointed at the hands off approach to hosting. Breakfast was do it yourself and included almost all sugary cereals and no pastries or fresh fruit. No directions for old coffee maker. Never saw the female host in three days; were checked in by her husband who was definitely second in command. They did not make our bed or replenish TP. Not much of a bed and breakfast! Would never recommend this B&B
small room, bed soft, fair water pressure, long distance from everything but capt cook park, which wasn't much. address was kenai, but was 20 miles away, and away from most attractions. breakfast was good. place was clean.
Beautiful setting, gracious hosts, relaxing atmosphere. From the lodge it is easy to enjoy nearby amenities without being caught in the influx of fishermen. Boating on a beautiful private access lake defines serenity.
We stayed for 4 nights and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, it was clean and had enough food for us to have breakfast and then leave for the day, the bugs were a-little bit of pests but they did everything they could to help with that problem as well. We also took out the boat they had and caught a fish in the lake in just a very short time, it all was very relaxing and comfortable.
Thanks Bob
We had a rather unpleasant stay at this B&B. First, let's cover the good: the hostess is very friendly and easy to talk to. The lake on which the property set can be quite lovely at the right time of the year. Unfortunately that's where the good stops and the bad begins. We were "upgraded" to the cabin and I will write my review about that. The main bed is located on the ground floor of the two story cabin. The spiral stairway is very narrow and unsteady under your feet. You have to hang on to walls (which is easy because of how narrow the stairwell is) to make sure that if the steps give way you don't hurt yourself. However, what made our stay particularly difficult is the water equipment. This is mentioned in at least one other review, and should be the reason to avoid this place at all costs. It's incredibly loud and it's set to go off in the middle of the night. It started at 3.00AM and did not stop until 5.30AM. It then periodically went on and off over and over again. The equipment is so loud that sleeping is not possible, even with ear plugs. The pressure noise reverberates throughout the cabin. Multiple machinery items work in concert: water pump, water cleansing, and other water treatment devices. Most water-well equipment is typically housed in a separate shed because of the equipment noise, now imagine sleeping in that shed. That's what you get here. I wish places like these were filtered out. I would not stay here again even if they had paid me the same rate.
This lodge sits right on the lake and has a row boat, paddle boat, motor boat and lots of fishing. The view is exceptional. It is a little out of the way, but has a very relaxing atmosphere. It is worth the drive and we would definitely stay there again.
To say this was a great place to stay is an understatement. .spent 4 days and wish we had booked it for the total time we were on vacation. Great owners were always checking up on us to make sure we had what we needed.
Would highly recommend to anyone looking for piece and quiet and a get away. Not too far from town if you really have to go in.
After 8 days of camping I was ready to relax in a nice and cozy room. I looked on Hotels.com and found a sale for this BB; so I booked it. What a pleasant surprise; the BB is right on the lake and on the my arrival I was greeted by a spectacular view . My room faced the lake and it was wonderful, This BB is ideal for a romantic getaway more than sufficient for my weary worn out camping bones. Met wonderful people staying at property and had a relaxing night. Biggest surprise was in room hot tub! Boy what a treat! The hosts were very nice and welcoming. I would have extended my stay if the weather had remained sunny. Would definitely return in the future especially at the rate/offer. Next time I'll plan for a couple of days and bring my sweetheart and make it a romantic getaway in beautiful Nikiski Alaska.
Lovely big house on a beautiful lake.
Comfortable and quiet. Comfy bed and good cable tv.
Great selection for breakfast - we even had reindeer sausages! Lovely host and would recommend Daniels Lake Lodge to anyone.
This B&B is your destination, not a place you stumble upon but it is worth the trip. The host is incredibly friendly and always available to chat with. The rooms are very clean and the views of the lake are great. The house is right on the shore and there are multiple modes of water transportation to use. The B&B is stocked with breakfast items so you eat when you want, self serve which I thought was great. We would come back for sure.
The hotel has a beautiful location on Daniels Lake. There was a complete supply of kitchen wares, stove, refrigerator and other amenities. Everything was neat and clean - no shoes inside! Great fishing on the lake.
Everything at Daniel Lake Lodge exceeded my expectations: wonderful location, views, quietness, relaxation, great comfort, warm hosts - I will recommend it to my friends and family and try to come back myself - just a wonderful vacation place.
Beautiful area. Owner so helpful when our car had a flat tire. Would definitely tell others about this nice spot. Low rates, lots of room, remote and on a lake so was very peaceful.
If the idea of staying in a hotel or motel along the busy Seward Highway isn't your idea of a good time then you need to consider this B&B. When I booked it I really didn't know what to expect. Finding it was a small challenge but Karen, who owns Daniels Lake Lodge B&B along with her husband Jim and dog Charlie, was very helpful. She had actually called me the day before my arrival to offer any help or advise that I might need and told me to call if I needed her. Once I found the B&B I was greeted with a beautiful view of Daniels Lake and the wonderful sound of nothing but nature. I sat outside at one of the tables for probably two hours just enjoying the solitude and watching a couple of bald eagles soar above the lake. When I go back to Soldotna to go salmon fishing again I will most definitely try to book this B&B.
Daniels Lake B&B was a neat little place to stay. I was in the "Wildflower" room inside the main lodge, but they have 3 cabins for rent also. The lodge is rustic, but well kept up, and Jim and Karen are the nicest folks. If you're expecting 4 diamond service, stay at the Hilton or somewhere like it. If you want peace and quiet with a beautiful view of the lake, stay here. I wish I had more time to stay and visit with Jim and Karen, but I was on a tight schedule while in Nikiski. I plan to come back up in a couple years and will stay here again.
We spent several days, all of them rainy in this beautiful place sitting on a gorgeous lake, with several sets of mother ducks trailed by baby ducklings swimming around their boat dock! Sun came out just before we left so we did get some great photos. Karen and Jim are delightful and so were the other guests. It was definitely a place I'd go again and have already referred some people their way. Thanks, Karen and Jim for a great start to our AK vacation!
Our family stayed two nights and spent really teally good time there. Lodge stands just in front of beautiful lake and you enjoy it like "private" lake. Owner is very kind and full of hospitality. Thank you for marvelous summer memory....we highly recommend this lodge especially for family like us and people who need refresh.
