#desktop Bullwinkle!! Where's Boris and Natasha?? Kayaking & camping Alaska's Kenai Fjords This was one of the best travel experiences I've had the opportunity to enjoy:) being dropped off with a kayak in the middle of the Fjords with a bear canister of food, a tent, minimal camping gear, a radio to check in with the weather for 5 days... no phone, no technology, just bare bones nature to heal the soul... Wish everyone could experience this once in life time, AMAZING.
#desktop Fisherman's paradise #desktop Just sitting there waiting to be used. #desktop Who knew Alaska had such gorgeous flowers??? Millers Landing is just a short drive past downtown Seward and it's ports. Here you can catch a water taxi to take you to various parts of resurrection bay that you couldn't otherwise get to. Definitely make reservations as spots in the taxi fill up fast. They do let you take kayaks on if that's the kind of adventure you're going on. #desktop Ice Ice baby! Futile taming of the wilderness. #Desktop Baby Bullwinkles! Halibut Car in a tree off Nash Road. Someone is a terrible driver lol Who doesn't enjoy a huge cup of coffee while relaxing in the mountains? Well me I guess. But I'm just weird like that 😜 #desktop The master of his domain. Secret beach area I found snooping around 🤙🏻 Everyone puts up a dollar. So walls and ceiling are covered. Smaller bar but awesome atmosphere. (I forgot to put my dollar up 😢) Situated at the head of Resurrection Bay on the Kenai Peninsula, Seward is one of Alaska’s oldest and most scenic communities.
Get on the Kenai fjords tour cruise and enjoy the best of Alaska.
#LifeAtExpedia Seward is a pretty town on the edge of Prince William Sound. We went on a day long tour out to see glaciers, whales, bald eagles and seals with Alaska Saltwater Adventures. The view from the marina with the mountains in the background is magnificent. #Troveon -- humpback whale playing in Resurrection Bay! Glacier cruise from Seward Took the Major Marine's boat out to see glacier's calving, hump back whales jumping, and some incredible views Great weekend on the sea. One day scuba & one day fishing. Rewarding thy self with the honeymoon hefeweizen, seafood chowder & steak salad, yum!! Alaskan King Crab. Make a reservation this place gets busy and come to the harbour early to watch the fisherman fillet the day's catch. Kayaker's Cove yoga retreat. We are on the beach looking inland... Old Alaskan Railroad car appears to have once been an information center, but now abandoned right by the coast... Excellent fresh seafood. Even better view! Mountains and harbor If you ever up get this way, be sure to take one of the boat tours of Kenai Fjords National Park. It's an incredible experience. Of course, the poor souls who did it last week had 10 foot swells and were upchucking non-stop. Luckily, we had calm waters and perfect weather for glacier and wildlife viewing. Train ride from Anchorage to Seward, Alaska Out on the boat docks, beautiful morning in June. Please don't do this hike when it's muddy like I did 😅 #lifeatexpedia A majestic, 500 foot tall, mountain of a glacier spotted from the Kenai Fjords tour cruise. We were in Alaska during the salmon run and were amazed to see them running, spawning, and dying.
http://www.liferidingshotgun.com/2015/08/alaska-last-frontier.html Just dive. The underwater life is just as interesting 👀 Just driving around town and looked up at the right time. Dinner out at Chinooks restaurant the other night on the boat Seward in the calm before the storm...was suppose to do a day cruise out to Resurrection Bay the next day but a major storm came in so had to cancel...at least I was able to capture this pic before the storm.
