Nice but olderPosted Sep 26, 2015
It was in a nice location to everything and very clean. The rooms were dated some but still rather decent and would stay again.

Great LocationPosted Aug 31, 2015
Location: near to Post office, museum, groceries, restaurants-Try the Homestead restaurant, excellent food and easy to find. Turn left and go eight miles.
Meet and greet with owners every day-superior location for access to arterials, restaurants and yet very quiet. Not your regular motel coming and going traffic. Very clean, comfortable and with a pleasant view of the Gulf of Alaska. Immediate feeling of leisure and comfort, Not pretentious. Would recommend to anyone who are visiting Homer, Alaska.

THE place to stay in Homer.Posted Aug 13, 2015
The view of the ocean is breathtaking. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. Eat breakfast at Duncan's a couple blocks away and dinner at Captain Patties on the Homer Spit.

Pleasant stayPosted Jun 29, 2015 on Hotels
One of our stops on our Alaskan adventure. The couple running the Pioneer Inn were friendly and helpful. Upon our arrival we were informed of what to do in the area and how to find it. Our room had a beautiful view of the area and the Pioneer Inn was centrally located among shops, restaurants, and the Spit.

Easy stay in HomerPosted Jun 24, 2015 on Hotels
We spend a night here, the rate is relative, but owner operator makes difference in welcoming and brief you the surroundings. Very friendly but simple accommodation, but sufficient for general travellers.

Comfortable and friendlyPosted Jun 19, 2015 on Hotels
Owner greeted us when we arrived. Very friendly and gave suggestions on restaurants that turned out well. Place was dated, which is what we expected, but bed was comfortable. If you are looking for amenities, such as exercise equipment, pool, etc. this is not your place. But if you are looking for a comfortable place to stay, this might suite you.

Pros: a room for three people, couple plus another. Quiet area.
Cons: Some sort of curtain to divide the areas.
Very comfortable for three people with a queen and a twin. Nicely stocked kitchen. Delightful owners.

Quaint in HomerPosted May 11, 2015
Pros: Did not know it had full kitchen. That will be great for a longer stay, next time.
Cons: The single bed was on the soft side. Maybe a new mattress or a piece of plywood underneath to firm it up a bit.
Location: Set in beautiful Homer, AK. There is fishing, boating, flightseeing, shorebird festival, and a great place to watch numerous eagles.
The 3 of us had a nice overnight stay in a clean, comfortable room. King with single actually worked out better for us as the queen with 2 singles was upstairs and would have been hard for mother to get up there.
