Pros: friendly, clean, had a bar
The staff was very friendly and knowledgable It was an outing for out of town family for a funeral and wake services for a deceased aunt.

Amazing getaway

My husband and I booked a 3 nights on the same day of our stay for a late check in. We arrived at the facility at around 10:30pm and the check in was a breeze. Our room was beautiful, comfortable beds and clean bathroom. If you stay here, make sure you eat at their restaurant, food there is delicious, and affordable prices. Hotel is at a hill next to some stores and supermarket, great place to stay in. We had a very relaxing time.

Surprisingly nice hotel. Clean, nice staff. Perfect hotel if you're in the area and quickly need a place.

Classy boutique hotel in the suburbs

I love staying at The Kenilworth whenever I am in town. It is only a 15-20 minute drive from Newark Airport, yet it is in a quiet community away from all the noise and traffic. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable with nice amenities. Everything I look for in a hotel!

Pros: The room and comfort
Cons: We had a good stay
Location: Not much except we went out for breakfast
We had a good time at our function and we slept well also

Good hotel , free parking

I would recommend this hotel to stay . The only drawback is they do not have elevators , so you need to take your luggage via stairs up to the second floor , if you got second floor room. Another strange things is Expedia promises to get free breakfast which I did not get when I asked hotel staff .

Unfortunate...Front Desk Staff not very responsive

Checked in on a Weekend having to attend to a sick relative in the area. Wifi access which is advertised on the website to guest was down. I asked the desk clerk about the system and he told me it was a problem with my gear. I really needed the wifi service to attend to the activities in the area. The desk clerk basically told that it was my problem. On Monday morning when before checking out, I again asked for help with the desk clerk for clarification on billing with breakfast, another offered service with the hotel stay. I was told by that a voucher was required. When I asked the desk clerk for help...he couldn't find my reservation even though I told him my room number. Interestingly enough..when I check out minutes later, he quickly found my reservation and promptly presented my bill. I guess I shouldn't be surprised at the lack of professionalism from a small regional motel. I definitely will not recommend or stay at this establishment again.

I am sorry the we did to live up to the expectation we strive to deliver. We are a three star suburban hotel and we work very hard to ensure we deliver exemplary service to all our guests. I encourage you to read what other guests say about us on all social platforms. It seems we simply did not deliver in this case. I will review your observations with the team and ensure we learn and improve. I would like to request you to give us another chance as we are a much better than what you experienced.

As soon as we walked in our "suite" our 22 mo old toddler touched the metal edge of a coffee table and the sharp metal piece came off in his hand. Control knob on in-room fridge was broken, though I got it to work. The decor is tired, no pool and no elevator, had to lug everything up to 2nd floor. Staff seemed bored & disengaged (front desk staff talked on the phone during two of my interactions with them) and the place was nearly empty. The restaurant/bar was also closed, forcing me to go out in freezing cold to get my wife a drink. Adequate is the word, though it was clean at least. Should we be unfortunate enough to have to return to this area, would not stay here again.
