The rooms are very dated. We had booked an executive room. I questioned if it was really a executive room, even for London standards it was small. The staff confirmed and also told me it had recently been refurbished. The bathroom door did not close properly. I found the bathroom grimy. One morning of our stay there was no hot water for several hours. We only got - we are sorry -. The breakfast was good and many selections. Even though they had a hard time keeping up with refilling the food and plates on certain mornings. The breakfast staff was far the most pleasant we encountered during our stay. We also had some luggage delivered to the hotel. I found it very tacky by the concierge to tell us that the bell boy is outside so you can tip him.

Room was good - however there is no information booklet in the room. Extremely disappointed/angry that we were over charged with our deposit.

Location is excellent as next to a very good tube station. The hotel's facilities are good and deserves the four starts. But the room was not good. I could live with the dated and worn furniture and generally low level of comfort due to the low price I paid for my three days. But it was not clean, in fact the bathtub and the old revolting shower curtain had long black hairs from a previous guest so getting in the shower required proper determination. There was a leak somewhere between the bath and the toilet making the floor wet. Plus one-day they did not service the room and they never removed old glasses and plates during my stay. The room deserved a two star rating.

This was a excellently located property and a great base for our girls long weekend. It wasn’t insanely expensive for three nights either and Gloucester Road is a fantastic station with excellent connections into the centre and surrounding areas. Would only say that, though on checking in and out stall were lovely, during our stay we discovered there was no hairdryer in the room, upon phoning down to check they were provided I was met with quite a rude and condescending member of housekeeping who instructed me to check again and then sent someone up to ‘show me’ (the poor guy also could not find one, to me relief) also, housekeeping knocking on your door for it to be cleaned before 8.30 in the morning seems a bit extreme, but that might just be me. Perhaps this is a hotel More frequented by business people who go out at the crack of dawn.

The bed and pillows were fantastic. The room was a little dated and could use some freshening up.

The lobby is nice and new. The halls and room are old but they were kept clean. Very close to Underground so that was great!

Lovely location, staff were very polite and helpful. Great bed and a good sleep! Unfortunatly the room had some issues, holes in the wall from removed furnishings, not properly cleaned (food on the floor) rusty and damaged taps. Missing plugs for sone of the rooms accessories. Vegan options non existant, or not well note on food menus.
