After my trip was delayed, I contacted the hotel to let them know I'd be a day late but still needed the rest of my reservation. (This took more work than it should have, as the first 6 or 8 times I called, no one answered.) I was willing to pay for the forfeited day. They told me to call Expedia, and Expedia assured me all was well. When I arrived, I had no reservation, though Expedia had not been contacted about that and was still charging me for the full 8 days. After talking with a very sweet woman at Expedia, she decided to call the hotel herself and try to get my reservation reinstated. They reluctantly made the reservation, but one woman at the front desk eyed me and was rude to me throughout my stay.
