Location good but does not offer hotel facilities.

Posted Jun 27, 2016
Pros: Location was good for beach and town.
Cons: The room I had was dated (except for the tv). Shower pressure poor.
Location: Deal is an historic seaside town with a pier. Angling, golf, shopping, two castles are accessible.
My stay was ok but surprised to find no evening meals offered. Breakfast was also extra. What was once one hotel has now been divided into several separate businesses, so the accommodation is just rooms with no hotel features. Position is right on the front but my room was at the back with a view over the car park and above the Indian restaurant. It was quite noisy. Staff were quite friendly but although I stayed 4 nights, I never met a staff member more than once.

Upgrade downgrade

I booked for a romantic getaway. Room was nice but basic. We were told we would have a family room but were downgraded again on arrival due to the fact that the room was needed by someone else

Just one small thing

Everything was fine, except the windows are not properly sealed and allow in quite a chilly breeze.

A great hotel

Stayed the night before a marathon so was only requiring a crash pad. The hotel was good but the only down side was the mattress. However, it didn't stop me from getting the sleep I needed
