Pros: The room was very clean and comfortable. Complimentary wine, cake etc - a really nice touch and not something I've experienced in other hotels.
Cons: Nothing from our point of view!
Location: Cycling, walking, waterspouts (seasonal)
We stayed here for one night, wanting to do some cycling around the Kent Coast. It is a lovely, quiet comfortable hotel in a great location. We cycled to Dover Castle, using an off road route. It was a bit hilly in parts but really pleasant. We also cycled in the other direction towards Dymchurch and that was completely flat and a beautiful coastal route.

Pros: The 'help-yourself' food and facilities in the kitchen area. Good breakfasts.
Cons: Warning about the stairs, particularly to anyone with rooms on the third (top) floor.
Location: Close to seafront and backing on to quiet park, but a longish walk to the town centre and old town.
Just a short but pleasant stay. Quite an old traditional building, but nicely decorated in more modern style. Quite a steep staircase and no lift could present problems to some guests. Generally good and friendly service.

Room too hot, breakfast not of the highest quality and hotel smelled of curry. However, lovely staff, lovely to be greeted with refreshments and cake and well-situated for local restaurants/pubs.

Friendly staff, nice big rooms. Good view over green to rear. A little on the expensive side for what it is. Breakfast is good except the cooked breakfast seemed dry like it had been under the hot lamp. A good lounge area with complementary drinks including alcoholic, you just help yourself.
