Warm welcome and close to all amenitiesPosted Sep 28, 2015
Pros: The hotel is close to all the amenities but offers comfortable day rooms if your preference is to stay indoors and relax
Cons: A large mirror in the bedroom
Location: Ramsgate offers a sandy beach, lovely restaurants and bars and quirky shops
Room quiet and cosy. Lovely comfortable bed the only thing lacking was a mirror close enough to the plug to dry my hair properly. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice

Lovely hotel overlooking harbourPosted Aug 24, 2015
Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights in the royal harbour room with double balcony and queen size four poster bed which was ever so comfy and romantic. We loved sitting on the balcony enjoying views of the boats whilst the sun set. Staff were friendly and welcoming and my boyfriend had rung in advance and arranged a surprise of roses and champagne to be in our room. Ramsgate is a lovely coastal town and so was broadstairs just a short bus ride away. Breakfast was cooked to order and they also had a big tray of honey Combe which my boyfriend loved along with fresh fruit, yogurts, croissants, bread and other delights. Overall a fabulous stay and wouldn't hesitate to go back there in the future :-)

Seaside hotel with homely and friendly feelPosted Jun 23, 2015 on Hotels
The hotel is great with lots of individual touches. It felt really homely and the decor etc was lovely. The staff were friendly, rooms very clean with really comfortable beds, luxurious bed linen and bath towels. Breakfast was lovely too with continental breakfast set out and additional choice for cooked breakfast. I would recommend this hotel and if I am back in Ramsgate will certainly choose to stay again. We didn't try the restaurant but it had a good menu and great reviews.

Exploring.Posted Jun 22, 2015 on Hotels
Decided to visit Ramsgate and surrounding area as unknown to us.We loved the Hotel as it was a different experience. Lots of artwork on the walls and decor takes you back in time,I would describe it as shabby chic and full of character very different from modern day hotels. Staff all very friendly and accomodating, initially given a room on 3rd floor which was very small little storage. I asked for a bigger room and was immediately given a larger room on first floor which was fine, the beds were so comfortable the linen and bathroom spotless. Some parts of the hotel could do with upgrade i.e carpets but look beyond those areas to appreciate the ambience. Breakfast was excellent as was the food in the restaurant. The only downside is parking a bit tight on the road outside and no lift if you can't manage stairs. We will definitely go back, the Turner Gallery and Old Town in Margate worth a visit, and Broadstairs lovely.Could be another Brighton if more investment was put into the area.

Excellent stay at this truly unique seaside hotelPosted Jun 15, 2015 on Hotels
Had a wonderful break here. The hosts make you feel at home as soon as you're through the door. Really unique hotel - Not been to any other where they have a stack of vinyl and a record player for you to enjoy in the main drawing rooms. Bedroom was spotless (we had room 4 with a four poster and a balcony with an awesome view of the harbour), music in the shower is always welcome and the following days breakfast was spot on - and so much choice too! A very rare find these days in a hotel, that's got a great location, great hosts and great facilities. Thoroughly recommend this hotel. Oh, and for a big treat, make sure you eat at the Empire Rooms, (which are under the hotel). A true delight, food was fantastic and a great atmosphere. Enjoy!

Bijou Bedroom, Bountiful BreakfastPosted Jun 13, 2015 on Hotels
Up several flights of narrow stairs to a minuscule bedroom with a minuscule "double" bed. However, facilities are clean and there is a wonderful view over Ramsgate harbour. Excellent cooked breakfast and a good variety of buffet food.
