aangenaam verrast

Posted Jul 18, 2015 on Hotels

Pros: Very nice friendly staff and nice and clean
Location: relaxing and quite
spent one night in the lodge. Small room but everything you need and very clean. Had a nice view looking over the golf course and lake. Meals here are very good.

Pleasant stay near Maidstone

Posted Jun 26, 2015
Pros: Reception and room all good
Cons: A bit more food as a starter
After finding that this hotel is actually Maidstone and not Ashford (according to Expedia) I was greeted by a very pleasant young lady by the name of Kerry who immediately removed the last few miles of tension! The actual Hotel is split into two parts and my room was a short walk away from the main complex which was great as it was lovely weather. Food was good (but could have been more of it) and room clean and tidy.

weald golf club

Pros: Friendly efficient staff and quiet surroundings.
Cons: Web site address.
Location: golf
Excellent stay and staff very helpful and efficient. My only slight gripe is that the bed mattress was way too soft but that is only a small issue as everything else was spot on except for the directions to the club. They appear to be wrong on the web site.

Business Stay

TV on the small side and being on top of the wardrobe makes viewing it difficult and the car park has a lot of pot holes due to recent building works otherwise a very pleasant stay

Pros: It was uncomplicated, the staff were efficient and friendly and it was bit unusual.
Location: It was ideally located for our visit to Sissinghurst the next day.
The accommodation is a modern annex to the golf club, close to the 18th green. Check in in the main building was quick and efficient, but I did not need to bring the luggage in because the rooms are in a separate block a few hundred metres away. The twin room was cosy, but everything we needed was fitted in including tea making facilities. Modern, clean and functional. We had an evening meal in the bar, which was basic pub food but nicely presented. The location makes it really quiet, with only the croaking of the frogs to lull you to sleep. Back in the clubhouse for breakfast, which was a well stocked buffet that was kept replenished.

a very simple room - but good enough for changing and getting your head down before or after a round and few beers

We were in room 2.The room was spotless as was the bathroom. However the pillows were very lumpy-they seemed to be filled with pieces of foam. The mattresses were also lumpy-long past their comfort sell by date. The duvets were about 2" thick! Breakfasts in Golf Club were perfect.

Good value

Hotel rooms are remote (50 metres) from the noisier main block which is a good feature overall. Rooms are quite basic but clean. Bathroom is fine, beds comfortable enough. Staff very friendly. Good breakfast choice for the price asked.Overall, for a short break in the area, a decent choice.
